Well I would never cancel my membership, unless I was totally flat broke. Too many good things have happened for me because of being a member of Dita's website

Can you elaborate further? I love Dita and am thinking about joining her site for one month.

I don't mean to answer for anybody else, becuase I know your question wasn't directed at me, but I think as a long time member I can offer some friendly and money saving advice. If you've already been a member of her site and seen everything, then no rush to join. She really hasn't updated her site in over a month, and any new stuff that she does put in these days is all stuff you can google. I mean, I LOVE the martini glass shows, but a lot of the new photos are just of the same show at different angles. And any of her tips you can see were posted on this forum.
I have to say, I am a long time Dita fanatic from way back, even before she met Manson. So you're not going to find anyhting but love from me for Dita. But I am also a girl who likes to save a buck or two when I can (that way I have more to spend on couture!) Also, her journal entries have been lacking lately. So, like I said, if you've seen the site before on the member's side, there's no use in joining right now.
By the way, just to start another topic of conversation on this board, does anyone miss the good old days of the Dita website? Yes or no and why?

I'm wearing MAC, the original Viva Glam (the first one they made) it's a lovely matte red, and very long lasting, although a little drying on the lips if re-applied to often.

At the moment Dita only wears MAC lipstick too, although I'm sure she'll change as soon as her ambassadorship of MAC Viva Glam ends (the end of this year I think!)

I would say join for a month, check out all the photos, look at the message forum and see what you think, that's the way I started off. Then I had a once only subscription for three months, then I upgraded to a permanent subscription.

What I meant by "too many good things have happened to me because of being a member" was that I've had the opportunity to be on the guest list for several shows and each time I've met Dita in person, chatted with her and found out that she is an extremely friendly and 'real' person. I have also had my own artwork of her put up on her website. But the most important thing to me is that I have met a wonderful group of like minded people via the forum on there and made some lovely friends, including my best friend who is also in the photo of me next to Dita that I posted earlier.

Thanks for elaborating. Dita seems extremely personable, and it's nice that you've gotten to interact with her. I can't wait until she tours for her next book. It's also cool that you met your best friend on the site.

Can we break down Dita's makeup? It doesn't seem like she wears a lot:
-red lipstick
-pressed powder
-liquid eyeliner
-false eyelashes/mascara
-blush?

It doesn't even look like she wears eyeshadow. Sometimes, though, she has a smudged look.

Do you guys think that sums up her makeup routine?

I know she adds eyeshadow a lot because I've asked her that and she recommended Chanel eyeshadow to me once.

Whew. I'm so glad someone else noticed this too. Otherwise I would have felt like a total biatch.
I know she's busy and responsive to her fans when they write to her, but it just seems like she's so busy flying around the globe for the opening of an envelope and not paying enough attention to her site. I'm thinking of canceling my membership for now too. Any pictures they do put up is like they're throwing peanuts at us.

Actually they just put up some new photos today but yea they are show pictures and we've pretty much seen them before. Not that I don't still appreciate them.

I think it's funny that she does the Bird of Paradise dance when the peacock is male. Anyone else get that?
The more beautiful and feathery a peacock is, the more ultra male he is.
