Dita Von Teese

WHAWHA-WEE-WHA.
still too much jewelry (ditching the earrings would be rather recommendable),but that emerald shade is simply amazing. like, not (average) dita-amazing, but amazing-amazing.
normally I'd have found the purple ribbon/glitter thingy all sorts of weird and questionable, but it somehow gives the robe a little extra edge.

i think she looks amazing like a mermaid draped in seaweed ( in a good way) I would prefer it with her hair longer like she used to wear it with manson, and pink lips, no necklace. possibly no blue thing in front too. delicious.

FancyPinUp, I agree with u. I wouldn't have chosen that dress, but she makes it look so wonderful. The greenshade looks perfect.

And in #2613 she looks simply amazing.
Love it.
Thanks for posting :flower:

It's no secret that watching Dita's fashion is a great deal of fun and inspiration sometimes. However, there's also some sadness that exudes from every single picture I've seen of her. She's become a cartoon character; it's almost like she's gone too far, she can't go back. The process of becoming what she projects must be arduous, especially because she won't allow anybody to see her have an "off" day. Perhaps she won't even allow herself to have an "off" day. I feel like she needs a hug and to be told she's a human being deserving of dignity at the end of the day and that she's not the public's fetish/fantasy.

I haven't kept it a secret that I sometims feel the same way, like she is somewhat a shadow of what she used to be a couple years ago. I think it's the need to keep in the mainstream spotlight that makes her exude the need to "keep it up" and we as fans can sense that it isn't always as enjoyable for her to dress up as it used to be. I still love Dita and always will but I do wish she would not feel the need to wear every single designer label and wear what she truly enjoys wearing. It's starting to look more like a job to her the fact that she goes to every single event and the only part of her that's the same is the hair and makeup. I know a lot of people will think I'm a sourpuss for saying and I apologize to those of you who think I'm bringing a fan posting down by saying it. I've noticed that when I do say anything besides "lovely dress" it's ignored so I just hope I'm not offending.

I don't think she minds being the public's fetish, I just don't think it seems as authentic and natural to her anymore or like she's always being true to herself and style.

At the same time, she looked really great in the purple!

well, I guess she´s all about perfection, probably we will never ever see her not perfect styled.

Yea I get what you mean. I always liked that she's always perfectly styled and I don't have a problem with that. I don't need to see her in jeans. I just feel like it's not coming from the heart anymore, like she's just keeping her career going sometimes. Oh well. She's still fab.

Like where did all the corsets and fetish stuff go? It's all stuffy YSL. Love YSL, but if you're burlesque let's shake things up a bit more. Sometimes, it's just too blehh for me. She's kinda like a little girl who hasn't realized that just b/c she can finally get her hands on Chanel doesn't mean you need to wear the whole shop. We get you're a fashionista and are accepted at these events but I would like to see more originality instead of focusing on how expensive or "exclusive" the item is. So far, the only originality she's really maintaining is in her makeup and hair.
