Dita Von Teese

She looked so stunning at that Oscar party. And great to see her together with Victoria.

gorgeous in that yellow dress. somehow she reminds me of elizabeth taylor there....

^wow she just steals the show in that pic:woot:, that other 2 just disapear next to Dita in that amazing gold dress,
i know right? she COMPLETELY overshadows them  and it is not an easy color to pull off.

Thank God there's those two pictures of her in the yellow dress. I saw her in it on PerezHilton.com and the dress didn't look nice on her at ALL! Now I can blame the photographer or the lighting from the picture on Perez haha. She loves ravishing! And I completely agree about the Elizabeth Taylor part, I too thought of Elizabeth when I saw these pictures, and I'm happy to see her next to Eva Longoria, I always thought she was somewhat like the latina version of Dita, sort of (even though you all might hate me saying that haha).

OMG! she looked amazing in that yellow dress! I'm glad someone wore color and she pulled it off with those red heels, absolutely stunning. In a sea of black she is a beacon of light!

As I looked at the photos of Dita in the yellow dress, the first thing I thought was "WOW, how refreshing that she's not in black, like everyone else. She really looks like a young Elizabeth Taylor here."

Then to read the other post!! LOL!! Great minds think alike!!:p

She has a rather interesting nailart job going on....>_< it's like a reverse french manicure...I think I know what to do for my next nails appoinment now...

Dita looks amazing, but then she always does! And that yellow dress is gorgeous.

OMG!!!!!!!?

On Oscar night, Miz Dita Von Teese revealed to fellow revelers at Elton John's party that she signed a record deal with Interscope in Europe. They "get" her better over there.
We didn't know the burlesque queen was a singer too!
She realllly wants to cover Irving Berlin's cabaret classic Lazy in her first release.
We bet she'll do it all sexy and sultry!
Meow!
Update: Damn E! news, getting shiz wrong.
Dita herself told us that she does NOT have a record deal but that she did receive an offer. She recorded a few songs for her show at the Crazy Horse in Paris, but, she tells us, "I have no desire to be a pop star. It's just silly!"
And there you have it!
"
Source: Perez HiltonI had a dream once that took place in an opera theater and Dita sang. She didn't sing opera, but the point is, she sang beautifully. I would definitely buy a Cd if she sang. But I don't know if everyone would be prepared for such a big step like this. If I understood correctly, she sang for the Crazy Horse numbers...I wish I could have heard!!! :(

*faints* That really would have been something!!!

she would probably do well within the dark soul crowds?

I'm guessing you're not a Dita fan, because I take what you wrote kind of offensively, if it was meant to be harsh.
Dita would not only do well with her fans, but with others who appreciate the music of the eras she represents and classic artists, and others too I'm sure.

I think I found something interesting about her beauty look :flower: :

If we were to compile a list of the most glamorous women of the moment, Dita Von Teese would certainly nab a top spot. That’s why we were thrilled when she became the face (and body—va va va voom!) of Wonderbra. We had fond memories of Eva Herzigova’s stunning ads for the bra company in the 90s, and who better than Dita to continue the legacy?

If you’ve seen the ads, then you know they’re absolutely gorgeous, and you know us, we just had to ask makeup artist Gregory Arlt for the goods on Dita’s sultry look. But we didn’t just want to know about the look for this ad ad, we wanted to know what it’s really like for a makeup artist to work so closely and continuously with someone as iconic as Dita.

Here’s our interview with Gregory:

What is the process for creating Dita's look, and how much is she involved in the process?

“With Dita we channel old Hollywood glamour. There are many variations on this look, but it's the classic ‘40s formula: brows, lash line, and lips. Dita has been committed to this look since she was a teenager! She's definitely involved, but trusts me implicitly when it comes to making her look phenomenal. We'll have a funny conversation in the makeup chair, generally me saying, ‘the usual?’ and we'll talk about what variation of red lip we'll do. For Wonderbra, it was classic pinup Dita with a very glamorous edge to it. "
Dita definitely has a "look," and you work with her regularly. How do you keep it fresh?
“Occasionally we'll add a few things, take some things away, use variations of colors on her eyes, but it's primarily the same formula—classic glamour. When I met her she was doing mostly 100% matte skin, but I've since taken that to the next level by highlighting the high planes of her face with shimmering highlighting powders to give her skin an ethereal, 'hyper real' look reminiscent of a George Hurrell photograph.
Sometimes we'll do a smoky eye and a deeper lip, sometimes throw red gloss over her perfect lips, change around the styles of lashes that we do, etc. We'll play and do bright aqua shadow on her lids or bright green with an orange red lip for more of a 50s look. Also, we do explore looks at times. For one shoot she wore a 1940s style platinum wig. I "bleached" her brows with lighter foundation and powder and filled them in with a blonde brow powder and taped her brows up with Traynor tape and added a deep blood wine glossy mouth. Quite dramatic! I've also done a more 'editorial' look with a dark smoky eye and a pale glossy mouth, but we both love the classic pinup look.

What was your inspiration for this shoot?

Again, old Hollywood glamour, boudoir style! Ali Mahdavi, who shot the campaign, is obsessed with the stars of yesterday- Marlene, Greta, Joan, Marilyn, Veronica, and the like. We wanted the shots to obviously be sexy, but also sensual, too—as though Dita invited you into her bedroom. Everything from the makeup to the hair to the lighting to the styling evoked old Hollywood.
Here’s how to get Dita’s Wonderbra ad look—Gregory went above and beyond to give us all the intricate details.

“First off,” say Gregory, “Dita's skin is absolutely flawless, and I often joke that I'd have an easier time finding Bin Laden than I would a pore on her face!”

I'm not sure this has already been posted, but do you know what Dita uses to maintain her face besides staying out of the sun? Such as moisturizes, cleansers, soaps? I'd love to know why pores are unrecognizable on her.

I second what Ashcottmanor said. I'd LOVE to know. haha
What I've been dying to know though is WHAT SUNBLOCK and such does she use?!
