I don't like the ones with the flower design, the patent mint ones are okay, but I loooove the "faded denim" ones. I've been hurting for a pair since I saw the Erin Wasson Vogue editorial:

It appears I just posted this and it ate the post. Anyway! I was merely commenting that I REALLY REALLY want a pair of Docs and it seems like the logical choice, because I wear boots all the time. But I don't know, at the same time it seems like they're a little too "tough" for my style.

They had some on sale at DSW the other day for around $70. I tried them on and took camera phone pictures and spent ages trying to decide but I don't know. These lace up but have a zipper down the inner side. Thoughts?

Those are my Docs with the satin laces. They came with regular laces too. I LOVE THEM!

I have black 1490 Docs and i've been wearing them with leggings, tights, black tube socks scrunched down, floral skirts with my Members Only black leather jacket.. the possibilities are endless. They're an excellent pairing with black or dark denim skinny jeans. I also wear them with acid wash skinny jeans.
