i think this is quite beautiful in a strange way. its the unbelieveable shape of it

i think the history of the corset is fasinating and also shocking. what corsets can do to your ribs and insides. like the picture above to get a waist that thin must do some damage to your insides. like in the 1800's when they also used to remove ribs to gain those tiny waists. can you imagine how much that would hurt to get done in those days. that really is dedication to fashion

adore vintage . I'm not a fan of the corset fashion today, it seems fake to me, untastefull and "dirty".

i feel the same modern corsets are all cheap silk and pvc.. kinda cheap and nastey reminds me of backstreet alley p*rnstars.

I once wore a corset (the real kind) under a dress when I was going out for dinner..BAD BAD idea..it really limits how much you can enjoy food.

but nicola helgesen is one modern designer whose work with corsets i like a lot. her label is called "la petite salope"

I'm not crazy about fetish corsets, but they can be done tastefully as seen in many Dolce Gabbana, Gucci, VW, Galliano and Dior shows.

Ok can anyone help -I just got my first underbust training corset on a whim. Why? Well to get a 23" waist and not be able to eat too much! Don't worry it is not drastic -I am normally 25" anyway. The thing is I can't do it up tight enough myself, once I pull, the tension gets lost when I tie it. Can anyone help?
