Dolce & Gabbana S/S 09 Milan

It looks like classic Dolce&Gabbana.

Wheres the nautical theme though??? They usually have synthesized ideas for both their main and diffusion lines

I'm not sure but it looks like they might have went with the men's Dolce&Gabbana line which was kind of Asian and Pajama fused together from what I can see.

I've just finished watching the show on FTV and it was brilliant! I supposed that after Menswear collection they're going to do pyjamas, plus I loved the jewellery and bags, not to mention the final gowns - stunning! One of my three best shows in Milan for sure

^fabulous, the best from them i've seen in while. and definitely sooo much better than boring last season! it's classic d&g, nothing less.

well they did use the menswear pajama idea on some looks. and the 2nd part of the show(the one with the dresses and gowns) were peices with like white flowers(well thats what it looked like to me)
there was also some peices with big shoulders lol

heavy japanese influence with chic silk kimonos, Lanvin-ish belts, some dresses have very ambitious but ultra ''power women'' with the structured shoulders. and and, the finale gowns are just dream.

I think they did this last season only. For SS08 the mainline was about painting and brocade where as D&G did this hippy flowery theme. FW 07 glamorous S&M vs leopard prints. SS 07 futuristic vs bizarre disco/80's theme. FW 06 classic vs white snowy Christmas. SS 06 peasant vs white & denim and so on... I guess what I am saying is that D&G have separate inspiration for their lines.

I didn't like it at all, only MCB's first dress and Georgina's dress... I don't like shapes of japanese influenced dresses and flowers at the gowns in the end is too much for me...

Another thing I noticed is that before the show started, the screen showed the word "Barocco" with some jewellry of the same barocco style. So I guess this is also one inspiration this time.
