Dolce & Gabbana F/W 08.09 Milan

stam looks beautiful, but like already said, yet another boring and bland collection from a top designer. although i do like the neck ties.

they just can't pretend they never did sequinned jeans and tiger prints!
this classy/british and the huge volumes on the gowns is so not Dolce&Gabbana!!
you just cant show this, and then pose half naked in your 40s for a fashion magazine!

I was actually looking forward to this collection, but now I'm disappointed. :(
It doesn't really speak to me, as weird as that may sound.

whatever... again... i like it! love the tweed news paper boy status. but i have seen it. its nothing new.

So much more enjoyable than D&G. I like the gowns at the end and I think the average person would rather wear pieces from this than D&G. Which is a shame because isn't D&G cheaper?

I'm waiting for an entire collection to make me fall in love this season and this is sadly not it. I do adore a few of the ankle boots, the vests, and generally the pants outfits worn by Georgina and Natasha but the dresses are sort of questionable, IMO

They were back on form last season but not this time! This is just hideous!!

actually this is closer to what they did prior the sequins & leopard spots. not my cup of tea, but for dolce it's rather ok. at least it's not the typical trannywear...except for the hideous gowns

Unimpressive, tacky and completely stupid looking. The dresses on Mariacarla and Jess Stam are the only good pieces, everything else is pathetic, especially the shoes! yuk!

When the most sexed up house in Italy goes for the longuette and demure looks, there is definitely something in the air.

I like the gowns and the scarves but thats about it. I'd probably like a lot of these pieces separately but most of these outfits have too much going on. It reallly reminds me of their Fall 2000 collection.

oh...no.

This collection managed to avoid any sort of continuity/direction. The silhouettes...were they going for a bloated trucker look? That corduroy blouse is disgusting. I can't beleive there isn't even one sexy little dress to infuse some of dolce & gabbana's roots into it. I can see they've been trying to take things in a new direction lately, but this was a mistake at best. Last season was so uniquely beautiful! I was expecting so much more.

Great post.

I don't get this collection. I just don't get what they are saying. What a disappointment.

The last dresses are great, but this is a rather disappointing collection

I love the last few eveninf dresses! The fabrics look great! And the accessories are good as well. But not so sure about the rest outfits...
Suddenly this season both D & G and Dolce & Gabbana grew older than ever!

I love the look on Olga... Bowie + plaid... I don't know why, but I do. I'd totally wear that. And I like the structured looks similar to that one, but everything else? Far, far too old-fashioned for me...
