Dolce & Gabbana Menswear F/W 10.11

I watched the video and I all can say is...MESSY!
You cannot focus on the clothes with all those models on the runway,it's pretty distracting

the show was nice.. but yeah it's a bit hard to concentrate in one design from another.. but the collection is not bad at all.. i want those grey "warmer" type skinny pants.

Did anyone else find it difficult to focus on the clothes with all these gawgus mens? :brows:

The collection is nice, but I highly doubt it will work with the fall womenswear collection...

oh hun that's every season for me!

Regarding the collection, it's typical Dolce. I'm not surprised though, it's what they've been doing lately which is sticking to what they do best. I really do however hate that they sent groups of the models down the runway. How the hell am I supposed to analyze the collection look by look? lol

After watching the whole show I don't find it that special. And I don't really like the idea of sending models in groups on the catwalk, doesn't help you to focus on the clothes that already aren't very interesting. Though I'm curious how would it work at the womenswear show, could be visually interesting.

Far too many looks, but that's to be expected. It's easy to say they were too carried away with the Sicilian peasant turned social climbing mafia man theme, but when you think back to the spacemen and Olympians and whatever else showed up in prior years, this is subtle.

There are some excellent worn out shoes that are just to my liking, but I don't see many of these being produced. I imagine the clients lean more toward traditional parings with well cut suits. On first glance, the best stuff seems to be the subtly distressed tops (look 24) or the worn vest/pant look in 56. The mid-show longjohn sequence is useless and the denim which begins appearing around look 62 is much too much. They could've produced the suits in their sleep, but that's too be expected.

the jeans in the first part of that last post are amazing!!!

I have no idea why, but this looks like someone hired Armani for consulting. I like the darkness and amazing knitwear but this looks very Armani to me.

You know, I think Dolce & Gabbana's best collection for men was the year they had those fantastic Napoleonic jackets. That was gorgeous and still maintained their DNA. This just does not feel like it will be right this year's fall and winter seasons. Maybe I'm wrong ...

I'd agree that that collection was by far the best by my standards, but beyond those half-dozen or so jackets, it was all pretty much the same thing they always do.

It's always struck me as funny that for a brand that's generally looked at as sexy, their collections are consistently yawn inducing.

I actually like this collection a lot for the most part. In particular, I like the knits.

The Dolce army finale pictures are insane, lol! I saw the video and it was very distracting, I would miss about 3 outfits while looking at one. Also the track was a little downplayed, I usually expect Dolce to have some upbeat and repetitive track but this time I guess it would've been too much.

The track sucked this time indeed
But the whole show was inspired by Baaria movie,so it would have been a bit distracting listening to Amy Winehouse or The Killers

Oh God...I'm so bored by this collection, it seems just like a F/W 08 knockoff, I mean I like those deep brown/burgundy kind of waistcoats, but I have really seen everything before. Would it kill them to throw some colour in?

So boring! Love the finale though, it looks like a bunch of workers leaving the construction.
