The fuscia is a nice touch in the collection, breaks the balance of the dull color pallette but in a good way, the final 3-4 pieces were extremely delicious.
Theres always an easy chicness to his collection, like a wealthy woman with an extraordinary wardrobe who is soo cool she doesn't feel the need to conform to any of the social standard.
Ehhh... I don't know, more misses than hits for me this season I'm afraid. I like the embroidered pieces, especially that black gown, but that's about it.
The styling is a bit jarring (especially in the first half) once you look past it there are some nice pieces. However, I much prefer his last collection to this one. This one seems to lack that wearability and ease the last one had.
I'm not impressed w/ this in the least. The boxy coats and fur pieces (esp. the ones where the fur "dot" the piece) are hideous, which is a word I never use w/ Dries..and I've definitely seen way better colors & prints from him in the past. Some nice pieces, yes, but nothing here particularly stands out to me.
Dries hasn't wowed me with wearable and covetable pieces this season, I'm afraid. Though he still offers a lot of good clothes to wear, I am uninspired.
For me there's usually a few pieces, or a single piece that stands out that makes me drool - the embroidered cranes on those tailored jackets a few seasons ago remain embedded in my mind as something I wanted to own desperately.
