Anyone have any street fashion pics of Eastern European cultures? I'd like to see how different it is from North American and Western European.

pretty crappily

heh..or so i think. i live in czech rep. and visit ukraine, my home country, on holidays..and i don't often see good style...but i'll try to dig out some pics from my russian elle girl :flower:

Please
not the Russian magazines
I was just in Ukraine....every single girl is wearing those horrid pointy shoes with the toes curled up...usually in white....bright colours, lots of white pants (i was there in June). I hear it's a bit better in Moscow...faust?? input??

no comment. i just don't have the desire to dig around the internet. we had a discussion on this a long time ago, Head her can use a search function. in a few words, people try to dress stylishly (always have) but have very limited financial resources to do so. It's been either nothing or logo-ridden bling bling neauve riche (sp?) . But, it's getting edigier as younger generation is becoming more style aware and financially secure. If stores like LeForm can succeed in Russia and the likes of CDG, Yamamoto and VW have entire boutiques there - it speaks volumes already.

I hold a US passport, if it's any consolation to you  . Truth be told, there are some very intelligent and interesting Americans. There could be many more, but the education system and the pop culture are killing this society. It's become mostly up to the parents to educate the child, because the school is not doing it.

thanks faust...i was going to have to have a rant that there are plenty of clever and stylish americans...but you saved me from all that...  :flower:

mulletproof should thank you as well...as you've spared him/her (?) my rant...

well.. for ridiculous reasons, I'm a US citizen.. unfortunately, even though I'm not American, I share dumby syndrome with them

I know, but it's quite a minority, I usually meet cool Americans over the internet, but once you're there, and you talk to people, it's really awkward but like you said, it's what the goverment has done with them so.. screw it :P

haha

I'm just generalizing since ignorance is collective in the US, I wouldn't include you in the packet, though, you're part of the minority :flower:
