this is a little bit ot but i've read in a lot of places that models from countries with higher lower-class populations are preferred by agencies over american models, who tend to be more spoilt. sounds like b.s. to me but it is b.s. that makes sense, since apparently models in the making or whatever need to live stringintly. but i agree with the asian invasion. i don't think south american models with dark features will have a supreme place on the runways for a long time, at least not higher fashion, since most designers prefer fairer girls, but i'd love to see some peruvian models! i was in peru and it seemed like every girl i passed was gorgeous and SO different looking!

I think the Canadians will continue to get stronger. They have a mixed backround but they're easier to fly in than girls from, say, Russia. It's also easier to get them working papers, not to mention they're fantastic to work with. Very mild mannered.
I don't think Asians will take over as the Brazilians once did. At least for a while they won't. Eastern Europe will always be a model breeding ground.

I agree 100%. There are some really beautiful Mexican girls. And they have a variety of looks. There are some fair ones, dark ones, etc.
