Ed Westwick

Thanks for the info! A four in hand knot sounds like it would be complicated to tie! So, because I forgot to ask the most obvious question, but what knot is Ed wearing with his rooster tie?

Understand all knit ties are casual wear; you do not wear them with a dressy pinstripe suit

So, is Ed breaking a fashion rule then by dressing it up? (Ducks behind a chair and peeks out cautiously...because I think Ed looks rather snazzy: that tie really makes the suit...)

^ Well, the 'rules' (and awareness of them) aren't what they used to be, for better or for worse... I wouldn't wear a knit tie with a suit like that, but it isn't really bad...That looks like a four-in-hand knot to me. Here is a good run down of the basics- it isn't really as complicated as it seems... ;)

Ed Westwick by Steven Pan for The Block Spring/Summer 2011

The Block undergoes a major redesign courtesy of art director Stephen Smith for their latest issue. Looking to Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick for the cover story photographed by Steven Pan, the issue also boasts magazine firsts. Adding hundred pages to the new edition, the spring/summer 2011 issue marks the magazine’s largest outing to date, while also being the first edition under James Worthington-DeMolet, who has been promoted to the magazine’s creative director.

Oh gosh, I just had to wipe the drool from my chin. It's like his staring into my soul!

^ Bandages on the knuckles of his left hand?? Street Fightin' Man? Well, he is reading Keith Richards book... :shifty:

Ed looks so damn dapper and elegant in that tux with the purple bowtie, but that patterned jacket on top of it is atrocious. It looks cheap! (Not that Leighton fares much better. Her jacket makes her look mumsy and dated as well.)

Oh la la! That Blog cover! I can't wait to see the photo spread inside!

the only time i didn't see ed as chuck....i think...

I've only seen clips of that episode, but that character did remind me of Chuck, except that he was more shy, pent-up and artistic. Both have the same sense of dapper style too.

His character in "100 Feet" didn't give me a Chuck vibe at all. He has a Brooklyn accent, dresses with no sense of glamour or gentlemenliness at all, and is a pizza delivery boy. He even smiles! In fact, I almost didn't recognize him when he first came on screen because he's soooo different from what I'm come to associate him as playing.

on californication, he was nothing like chuck.... trust me :p

Ed Westwick - Shouting at a friend as he walks in West Hollywood March 18, 2011

Life was imitating art for Chace Crawford (Nate) and Ed Westwick (Chuck) at the Trousdale Lounge in Los Angeles on Monday, March 21.

Chace arrived to the club and got some drinks with his friends — while also enjoying a good deal of female attention. Later, Ed arrived alone and met up with his Gossip Girl buddy. While Chace wasn’t that interested in the circling females, Ed apparently was; he reportedly flirted with and “charmed” them during his visit. Of course he did!

(Wipes sweat off brow.) That is one insanely hot editorial!

I also liked that they styled him similarly to what he wears in real life, except he looks more put together.
