Elegant Gothic Lolita

WARNING: about to get really cruel-sounded here.
I must be, for I won't lie.
I adore the look when used with delicate clothes, and details.- I mean not TOO custome-like and it only seems to go right on baby-faced people. But maybe it is only my view point. I like costumes, specially if you look taken out from a Burton film- but not if it is halloweeny-like!
If this sounded violent, my apologizes.
I am planning of doing myself a black velvet dress that would be a usual post in this thread

This website was posted in the egl community, and I am in deep love with their dresses... *sigh* http://www.le-ciela.com/A-B.html
(That second picture is of a headress, which Gothic Lolitas often wear).

Another outfit from the label, I like the detail of the collar.

 These dolls, called Dollfies, are really popular with Gothic Lolitas. I have seen them a lot in the various communities, the owners will often put a lot of money into these objects. Apart from being named and given an individual personality, the elaborate clothing and even the dolls themselves are usually a major investment.

the dolls kind of give me the creeps.

loving the historical inspiration used in some of those dresses, and the craftsmenship...I'm fascinated by this because this whole gothic/lolita thing is so closely related to the realm of historical costuming, except these people take elements of that, reinterpret it, and actually wear this stuff. not for me at all, but I find the creativity inspiring.
the full dresses themselves though look more like they belong in a V&A exhibit than on the streets. very costume-y as a whole.
the stuff is so beautiful though - I'm particularly enchanted with this bodice:

They freak me out too... Which I would normally like, but I don't get all the enthusiasm around them. I would so much rather just cloth a human being!

Not outwardly Gothic Lolita, but this editorial was very much what the style is all about.
