You can really tell how Elie Saab has changed. The thing about Elie Saab is at around S/S 09 he made this really sudden turn in his fashion and started going for really generic clothes. Before it used to be all about detail, detail detail. There used to be LOADS of embroidery and a great deal of prints. He's going for much more wearable looks now, with the solid colours and those hardcore shoes.
Looking at this now, it looks like a really good New York collection. I like his previous years better really.

I love the balance he's struck between simplicity and elegance. The relative lack of embellishments is most certainly a positive and the draping is just so flattering.
Plus the model casting is quite impressive. Kudos
