^I saw that woman hugging him in the video. Who is she? Also who's woman in the red boots?

the hugging lady looks a but like alber-maybe his mum? that's would be lovely.
the red booted lady looks patricia kass.

I never think that Lanvin can be so sexy!
amazing collection....love almost everything.

Alber Elbaz has done it again. I'm in love with alll the necklaces. So much work was put into each piece, everything hand made etc.

I just heard back from the manager at the local Lanvin boutique who went to the show and who placed an order for the spring. She said that a lot of the dresses I really liked(the red and the strawberry colored poufy dresses that looked like overflowing sorbet) was made out of such thin, paper-like material that creases(not just regular creases, but like the white, permannet creases you get on a piece of paper).
And the the one-shoulder gold dress that hangs from glorious gold collar necklace was such so much material that it doesn't look good off the runway. Ah well.

I still LOVE the collection!!!!!!!

That's too bad ...

A bit more practicality would be nice :innocent:

It's great that she's really honest with you ... I'm sure that helps preclude disappointment.

I re-read my post and it's hard to make out what I'm saying:blush: I typed in a hurry!

What I meant to say about the gold dress was that there was so much material(and not in a good way, according to the manager)that when walking, the overflowing swish of materials is breathtaking to say the least, but IRL on real people, it would be too much. She said that the material wasn't soft, so the volume really were prominent.

She also said that the tailored pieces at the beginning of the show were so deceptively fun. The formal tux dresses on the front had relaxed, flowing back and the same thing for the tailored skirt suit at the beginning. The front was a tailored suit, but the back was that of one of the signature Lanvin drape-y, flow-y goddess dresses. That would be interesting to see^_^

I would sell my soul for one of the glorious snake necklaces, but Lanvin necklaces from the runway are so heavy that I probably won't be able to wear it:(

LOL I know! The coat I wanted to get was the gray diamond-stitched trench with the zipper going around the entire hem of the coat but the price is way too much that I won't be able to get it. She however placed an order for the beige drape-y skirt with a small fishtail on the side(the one shown with orange chiffon top)for me. She said that was practical as well as beautiful.

Oh, OT, she also told me there will be a Lanvin verion of WOC(wallet on chain)that's really supposed to be a clutch....she said it was adorable. I can't wait to see that one!

Yeah, she's great. She knows exactly what I like, and she knows how picky I am with materials so she knows what to pick :D I have such wonderful relationship with all of the SAs at the Lanvin boutique.

Alber Elbaz Designer for Lanvin at Work Spring Summer 2010

I see loads of repetition from his previous collections. This's not bad, even have some delicious outfits and accessories, while it's a just effortless collection coz Alber does nothing new or creative, it's safe, it's opportunistic, it's boring.

I find it looks effortless but not in a positive sense.
There's drapery everywhere, and no fit, matched with some low necklines with sleeve heads at the same level. This is probably a fashion faux pas to say this but it looks scruffy when it's intended to look blasé.

Such an orgasmic collection:blush:
I'm so in love:blush:
I want more, more and more
