Emmy Rossum

She's getting boring. I liked her elegant styles, but for christ's sake, she looks perfectly good, if not BETTER in darker, more dramatic colours.

...I wish she'd figure that out. The styles are fine, the colours are "ehhhh". No more pale and white colours, please! Try...deep rich blue! or something...

yep I agree she has very predictable outfits, but maybe she likes that and it works best for her. I liked her in the black Chanel and blue Oscar de la Renta. maybe she should try something new, but she looks great in what she picks out.

I don't know if these have been posted already but I really like her here:

I agree she looks good in darker, bolder colors as well as her usual pale blues and pinks and whites- she's worn some black:

bright blue

& I really liked the dark red Ralph Lauren that she wore to the oscars
I'd like to see her in more bright colors, but I like her elegant look- it makes her stand apart from the messier looks a lot of stars go for.

She is able to look pretty elegant for her age. And I like few of her outfits....simple but elegant. And I just adore her hair...so beautiful! :flower:

i think emmy is beautiful... she has a great body... very elegant looking and love her hair when it's sort of wavy... my favorite outfit of hers is that white/cream colored armani suit she wore to some event. i think she does play it a little TOO safe sometimes, but i no extreme fashion disasters... which is good

She dresses like she's some old Hollywood actress.......
Personally I like that about her. Her style is very "classic glamour"

I love that all blue outfit of hers from the Green Cross event. :) And, I have to commend her on being a tall actress that doesn't slouch! lol.

Here's a few more from the greencross event.

Day After Tomorrow had some pretty bad acting especially from Jake Gylenhaal but The Phantom of the Opera was awesome. I love musicals and broadways so the movie and score was great, in fact, I'm listening to the soundtrack right now.
Anyways, regarding Miss Rossum's fashion style, I really like it because it suits her. I think that the reason why she's staying on the safe side right now is because she's a new and up-comer. Unlike Lindsay Lohan who jumps into everything once she got the spotlight, I think that Emmy just wants to slowly become more daring so it wouldn't be as shocking to the public.
By the way, great thread duuudes!

I liked The Day After Tomorrow. It was entertaining but not really memorable otherwise. I think Emmy was the only part that stood out. But my favorite movie of her's is definately Phantom of the Opera (I have the soundtrack too!) She's also been good in a few lesser known films-
I'd reccomend Passionada- she plays a teenager who sneaks into casinos studies gambling/card counting etc. When she meets a professional gambler who has a thing for her widowed mother she makes a deal that she'll help him wth her mom if he teacher her to cheat at cards. I thought it was a really cute romantic comedy, but my friend who I saw it with didn't like it much so it depends on your taste. Also the alterante ending is not as happy.

Nola-See it in it's original form- not after Lifetime got it's hands on it and turned it into a cliche Lifetime Movie. Emmy plays a girl running away from her drugged out mother and abusive stepfather, and goes to NYC to find her father who she's never met. There she gets involved with a law student/short order cook, an investigative reporter, a woman who runs an unusual escort service, and a powerful criminal. Emmy sings 2 pops songs in the movie, both good.

Songcatcher-This is about a music professor at a university who goes to visit her sister who teaches at a remote Appalacian school. In the village she discovers a wealth of scottish-irish folk ballads, and a talented young singer(Emmy). She embarks on a project to collect these songs but when she meets a local musician she begins to wonder if this project is exploiting the people in the village. Emmy sings 2 songs. It's incredable how she masters the copuntry twang but preserves the integity of her voice and the music. She does a duet with Dolly Parton and their harmonizing is really great. I'm not a fan of this kind of music bt it really showed her vocal range. Youwouldn't believe that the girl who sang in Phantom of the Opera is the same girl who sang pop in Nola or the girl who sings in this.

Emmy's also good in Mystic River, but her part is tiny- she dies in the frst 10 minutes and all her other scenes are flashbacks. It's still a great movie though.

I was looking at her filmography on the imdb and I saw this movie Happy Now that looks really good. Unfortunately it's only available in the UK:(
