Emmy had a busy day yesterday. She appeared on the talk show "The Chew" an Issa dress and Christian Louboutin shoes. (justjared)


She also attended the NY Premiere of Nymphomaniac: Volume 1 wearing an Altuzarra dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, a Rodo clutch, and House of Lavande jewelry at the screening

She's dating Sam Esmail. They met when he directed her in the film Comet though I don't think they started dating until a few months later (the film was shot in June 2013 and reports of them as a couple didn't turn up until August). So if that's the case they've been together for about 7-8 months

Agreed. She's always been great on the show but this season she took it to another level. To the point where it's almost hard to watch because it seems so real!! She deserves an Emmy for it, but unfortunately the Emmy's tend to nominate old favorites of which Shameless is not one.

Not really. She's had a couple of long term relationships: Justin Siegel (2 years), Adam Duritz (1 year), Tyler Jacob Moore (2.5 years). If she's with Sam for a few more months I'd call that long term. But really she doesn't seem to do the whole Hollywood musical chairs dating thing! I mean she tends to date people who work in music/film/television/ because that's what she does and it's who she meets. But you don't see her having paparazzi fauxmances with whatever actor is hot at the moment, or hear about her making out with famous guys at events!

As for Sam, there's not a whole lot out there about him. Based on his IMDB Comet is the first full length feature that he directed but he's worked on film crews in other capacities behind the scenes. He's from NJ and was born in 1977 making him 36ish. He also wrote another screenplay, called Norm: The Movie, that hasn't gotten beyond the screenplay phase but is supposedly pretty good.
