Engagement Rings / Wedding Bands

ilovepositano- I like your ring as it is. It's so simple. I don't know if you have kids or anything, but to me it conjures up an image of motherhood for some reason. It's up to you though.

Foxie-Pooh- That is so goregous. :o

ilovepositano if it were me I'd do round or pear side stones.

I am in love with this ring. And the price is right! $2700!

I always loved the band look instead of a big rock.

i love positano,

i wouldnt change a thing with that ring. i always prefer solitaires

ilovepositano, your ring is beautiful as it is, but I absolutely adore the pear shape side diamonds. Perfection

Though it will be a while before I'm ready to wear an engagement ring, I've fantacized a plently. I love these - though I also love the idea of using a stone you wouldn't expect, that makes the ring stand out. Perhaps one of these cuts with a sapphire and diamonds. I'd also love to play with what my husbands birthstone is - say his is a garnet, than perhaps a garnet ring with white sapphire side stones.

My very, very perfect ring I can't post because of macromedia! On the Van Cleef and Arpel's site, it's the fourth piece undert exceptional pieces: sapphire. It's breathtaking - perfect.

I'm sorry - I meant one of those cuts using either sapphire or the traditional diamond, or both together if it were a three stone.

I hate when you can't post stuff because of Macromedia!! aaah.

Personally, I don't like diamonds to be colored.. maybe pink but not yellow. Yellow canary diamonds aren't really my thing.

wahahha
this thread makes me cry - my boyfriend never wants to get married
and i have to ditch all ideas of pretty fancy engangement rings.

I don't think I want to get married. I get bored very easily, and I'm the type of person that would only do it if I felt truly like it'd last, and I just can't see that aspect of who I am changing. Hell, I don't even date, really.

Snow-white. have you and you boy considered commitment rings? you could still go pretty fancy....

Thanks HYZE ... I think thats a good idea. Because my boyfriend has been the single most stabalizing person in my life.

And while both of us feel we dont want to get married we spend as much as time as we can together. And those days are what i live for.

I think an infinity ring would be a good symbol of our relationship.

I inherited my grandmother's engagement... bracelet:heart: . In Spain the engagement ring is a relatively new thing, up to the 50ies or so women received a stiff gold bracelet with a diamond detail. Mine is two rosettes of pink rubies with a diamond in the middle. I love it but it is too fragile to wear it everyday. It sits in its box. Pity

Here's my engagement ring -

And on my fat hand (I'm not as fat as my hands, I swear!)

The black Chanel J12 ring will suffice, with a splash of white dimantes for sparkles.

I hope that when I get engaged, my boyfriend will take me to Florence, Italy because my favorite jewelry store in the world is there and I really would love to get my engagement ring there. It's this private gallery on the 2nd floor of a building. You'd never know it's there unless you were a local. A good friend in Florence showed it to me last time I was there!

What do you guys think of these as wedding bands?
