I just tried to learn how to french braid my hair....didn't work.

Does anyone have instructions that are really easy to follow, for simple minded folk like me?

In the December/January issue of Nylon they have an editorial on braids. They say this:

"Braids look best when they're slightly undone and imperfect. Think of it as Princess Leia, the morning after."

Then they give advice about keeping the braids, but it's sort of unhelpful without the pictures that I can't scan. I can post it anyway if someone wants.

OK I have never seen or tried it but I have heard that it looks very cool if you flip your head upside down and then braid from the bottom up.

Braids look great but they really damage your hair. Be sure to use a leave-in conditioner whenever you braid.

Anyways braids were all over the Bottega Veneta F/W 07.08 show



This is of a woman who was attending one of the Milan shows. I think she wears the braids so well
