I dont know if its been mentioned but Evan Rachel Wood is starring in the new campaign for Gucci's new perfume. Its called Guilty I think and it features a male model too.

Joseph, go sit in the corner you're not making sense :judge::p
that is a bygone era you speak of sadly.

^
I agree, it's over....which is mostly a good thing. I'm just saying; Versace has been using big names for AGES, what makes you think they'll pick someone random all of a sudden...although TI did mention it so...

lt's pong with Alexa Chung (sorry). Following on from news this week that actress Natalie Portman is fronting a Dior perfume campaign perfume campaign, WWD reports that Alexa Chung has been signed to be the 'face' of a new Lacoste perfume which launches in January. The Brit style icon is the first female celebrity ever to represent a perfume by the sporty French brand.

This Versace campaign is taking so long!! It's killing me, and I agree with some people here even with Calvin Klein campaigns and that, I don't think Jac fits Versace, Jac is beautiful, but not powerful, sexy as Versace woman is (or should be, obviously not last season :yuk:that campaign was a dissaster)

I don't get the fuss about Versace. since when is a Versace campaign relevant, or since when is Versace at all relevant nowadays.

^Well, it is. Versace is not random. Turnover of $750 000 000 a year is not irrelevant.

^ Well, it is in your opinion perhaps. To a certain extent I agree with Style_Expert.

I can't say I think Versace has been all that 'fashion' relevant in quite a few seasons.

^ Sadly the same can be said for many major fashion houses these days -_-

As if fashion relevance can always and only be measured in turnover and profit. A young designer with a relatively small turnover can be more relevant than a fashion house like Versace.

On top of that, if you'd bring up the turnover argument, I'd say why not use the 750 million turnover for a refreshing, innovative campaign with an interesting casting as opposed to the same old boring testino-shot celebrities and supermodels. I guess money shouldn't be the issue, with such a huge turnover :innocent:

and this might be interesting for you to read as well, speaking of the financial side of Versace.

Maybe I'm naive but isn't just the nature of things that something loses it's appeal and power over time because so many new things demand attention?

Still nothing on Alberta Ferretti? I loved the last campaign, I'm so curious to see what they'll come up with.

i remember one in the late 90's with maggie rizer, sunniva, etc. which was amazing.

I hope I'm writing this correctly...

Juicy Couture - M: Eliza Cummings, Ph: Steven Meisel, Info: wwd, twitter.com/damianmonzillo [Flashbang, franchini]

I saw the info here on twitter:
Juicy Couture - M: Eliza Cummings, Daniel Sweeney Ph: Steven Meisel, Info: wwd, twitter.com/damianmonzillo,coacdinc [Flashbang, franchini]

+ Daniel Sweeney
If there’s one thing we knew when we scouted Daniel Sweeney it was that he was made for editorial. With his dirty blonde, grunge hair and amazing cheekbones, we were totally feeling the Kurt Cobain and early Jared Leto vibe. Daniel recently paired with Steven Meisel for this month’s issue of Vogue Italia, as well as Meisel’s upcoming Juicy Couture campaign. Expect to see this boy a lot more to come in September.

what's next, versace by "world renowned" Nigel Barker?...lol...i know know, Juicy couture is still a fashion "house"....

I hope Meisel returned to Versace. Testino's just boring.
And If they cast Gisele again... then It will look like SS 08 and FW09.Pleeeeease not! I want something new!
