Fabric for T-shirts

Hi all, I am new in this forum.

I try to make some T-shirts by the same fabric of famous brands like: Bebe, Mango, Gucci.... . They often use cotton/spandex mix fabric but it seems to be so difficult to find.

Some people said that I can find these fabric in China, but if I want to ship to my country, the minimum order should be around 5000 meters.

I have a question that whether we can dye a small amount of fabric, or is there any company that can offer that light service? And if it is ok, how will the quality of the color?

a lot of companies offers that..5000 meters are a lot...you just choose the pantone color and they think of the rest..it's cheaper to choose one of their standard colors though.

the fabric you are looking for is called cotton-polyamide 94/6 or 96/4 or viscose96% polyamide4%.
dont trust China cause they are not too famous for their jersey mix fabrics, If you are based in EU, Turkey, Italy, Greece have very good qualities and will do far less than 5000 to start with.
Where are you based?
Small dying houses can do colours for you, depending on quanities, it's easy to buy ecru and do your own colours locally.

Wow, that would be great to dye your fabric on your own. But the cost may be very high, rite? Plz give me more details about this work.

I am in Vietnam now, the neighbour of China, ha ha. Thanks Lena for identifying the fabric for me, it is difficult for me to understand the fabric.

Lena, what is polyamide and viscose? I really cant find these fabric in Vietnam now. However, some made-in-China fake Bebe T-shrits are quite similar to the genuine ones, I dont like that.

So, where could I purchuse these fabrics? What country or company or website and how can I know if it is the right one? . I really need your help.

sorry, If you are talking about the "cotton-polyamide" or " viscose polyamide"``` both of them are common , I think, you can find a lot of factories supply you that things in China.

I do not know much about fabric business, but I'm sure you can find those 2 things in China. And I don't understand why you say dont trust China?

China is famous for wovens , they have a difficulty in jerseys mainly because of the Polyamide/Elastan which is made by Lycra or by other high end EU companies.
I know it sounds crazy that China has problems with high quality jerseys, but this is the way things are.

Kenboy: Try browse / search the web for these qualities, Korea does them but they are very expensive over there.. If you need quantities why dont you try the Turkish embassy and ask them for jersey fabric manufacturers in Turkey.. as far as i know -and i know well because i've been working for a jersey finishing factory for years- they have the best jersey qualities in competitive prices for mass production..

Is that the patent problem? I know China do not have lot of patent right in this field. And what do you think about starting a clothing line of producing those fabic sport wearings in China?

not sure if it is just a pattent issue beny..
its also a matter of cost and maybe equipment..
i think that the end price on jersey from the East is too high for the Western manufacturers, when adding taxes and transport expense.
its only huge manufacturing giants like Zara which can end up with cheap prices on Chinese jersey, mainly due to bulk orders which brings the price down..

investing in china at the moment may be a bit tricky (if you are not a multi million company), mainly due to big transport issues.. believe it or not, there are not enough ships to deliver the goods to western clients.

heard that some factories are already operating private jets in order to catch up with the huge export demand

wow thats an idea getting private jets to ship factory goods to stores quicker amazinnggg. that would definetely speed some companies up but then again it would create even more demand and i'm not too sure many people would be able to turn that quickly and keep pumping out new things
