I really like it, specially the color palette, the long dresses and obvioulsy the fur.
When I saw it Jean Paul Gautier's work for Hermes came to my mind.

I actually quite like this. It's reminiscent of the early-millenial Fendi which was aggressive and modern yet subdued, with a very beige/grey/subtle metallic palette. That grey fur(?) jacket on Freja is beautiful and very urban.

I wish the accessories were pushed a bit further, glitzier and modern to offset the reserved clothes.

    ^it is a lot hermes-gaultier!!
although i like the collection and there are some great pieces, i have the feeling that this is the kind of collection to which you look in 7 years and think "what was going on here?"
the kind of feeling i get when i look back at the latest chloe shows by karl and i wonder if it looked as plain an ordinary at the time, as it looks to me now... creepy feeling!!

(i love the new velvet version of the bag!!)

there is something that's irritating me about this collection. i don't know what. the spring collection was better. the dress, after natasha at the end, is ugly.

Agreed, but for some reason I think that's appropriate for Fendi. Some of these pieces are certainly covetable and luxe, who cares if he's not making some grand sartorial statement? I love this mood for Fendi, kind of dark and modern. Urban with hints of glitz.

I quite like it. Don't know if it's a standout for Fendi but it's quite interesting and there are some really beautiful pieces. Lovely velvets and furs. And those headbands are great.

I'm really digging this collection. Fendi is more a good-quality-items brand than doing an innovative collection, and, as this is a fall-winter collection, I think it was done pretty well. Lots of cozy materials rather than pretty dresses that, look good, but weren't meant for a cold environment.

I feel the same way. I like most of the pieces themselves, but there is something off about it...can't figure out what...

Maybe this is one of those collection that needs getting used to.

Yes, almost all the A/W '09 threads seem to have long lines of pics in them...
