Karl might have been expected to be on form in a season where the focus on Yves brings he himself into the historical story (you know how he was overlooked for Yves in the contest that led Yves to Dior. Karl did make it to Chanel however (and Fendi, Chloe etc) so he did ok afterwards. I think you are on top form Kaiser Karl sir.
I read the collection backwards on Style so backwards read - we start @ the end - first/last up, those shine armour pieces animal armourlike silhouettes evoking Plato's Atlantis, shining Chimera. Optimistic - shining out like stars. Thereafter, still backwards - Big Bang explosion prints - geeky like MiuMiu's.
Next up religious safari. And oh how the whole of LVMH plundered Yves codes for SS13. Cheeky. Victory. Champion Raf. Dior leading.
Mondrianlike geo prints on the bias on leather. Yves Mondrian dresses but laid on the diagonal. Spiritual peach through to robes including of vibrant daffodil. Nude. army. protection. Geishas. Scuba. Cargo/safari pocket frames on the geo. Drawing us in. Texture. Boxes. Cubes. Piety. Purity. Samurai. Gathers in leathersmocks.

The more I think about it the more Karl really 'did' Yves here lol
Now fashion month has ended, I can say with some confidence this was the true sleeper hit for me this season. Had little or no expectations as in my opinion Fendi has been off the boil for a few seasons now, but I really, really liked this! Karl had a great season I thought.
