hmmm
very african by way of Vuitton S/S 09, but without the spark and details that made that Vuitton collection so much fun. but since MJ derived his idea from YSL's african period, it's really too much derivation.
after all is said and done, it's a collection of pretty party dresses and tops, not to mention when paired with those shoes. i don't think Frida can possibly aim for anything else but 'pretty' and 'nice' these days, which is a serious step up from 'prints! prints! prints!'.
at least most of it doesn't look like it came from the 'FINAL SALE' bin at Zara anymore.
i actually do like the finale dresses. the colorful fringes and feathers and tassels are something else for a change from Frida...
