Jil Sander S/S 2013 Milan

LOVE LOVE LOVE the boots!!

As for the clothes - I've never been much of fan of Jil Sander but this is a nice collection. I don't remember who said it but I agree, the lighting really didn't do the collection any favors. So thanks for the HQs, Fianna

Such a beautiful collection. As many of you said,it is nothing special or innovative, but it just has that je ne sais quoi.I love it:smile:

 Wow, this is so lovely, like a cool breeze of fresh air wafting into a stuffy hothouse. The designs are easy and beautiful. To my mind, these looks also command immediate respect, and what I love about this type of clean minimalism and excellent construction is that it shines in the background, but it doesn't outshine the wearer of the clothes. It seems to me, if I saw someone wearing these looks, I would notice her first, and then the clothes. With many designers/designs, it's the other way round. I love this Spring/Summer collection. The boots are an interesting twist and the use of colour, blocking and print is subtle and striking. Love the sunglasses and the bags too! I'd wear pretty much every look here. Welcome back Jil!!

Edit: I seriously don't want to leave this thread. I am moving in... :P

Oh wow. This is magnificent. The silhouette, the cut, this is the best I've seen from Jil Sander since she left her label.

I'm glad a master tailor is back here.

Absolutely brillant. A true lesson in design. Everything is absolutely immaculate and on point. Flawless collection.

The accessories are particularly great too! Love those clutches and the sunglasses!

Finally, kudos to whoever did the hair and makeup. The girls looked beautiful and exuded serenity.

Ugh...I *MUST* have every piece in this collection. I am surprised she picked up where Raf left off, and did even better than he did! Younger, cooler, impeccable, immaculate tailoring...and those bi-colour boots....:heart::heart:!!! It's the child from the DNA of Courreges, Balenciaga, Raf Simons and of course Jil Sander...Bravo, simply stunning!!

I like this better than what Raf did lol.

I love this. It's so clean and sharp, plus it's a nice play on androgyny. I wouldn't be surprised if she builds a Celine-esque cult following.

Count me in. Blows anything Raf Simons ever did out of the water.

My only complaint is the white boots, I really dislike them... They're quite questionable, actually. But the collection is really good.

I too love this collection. Beautiful and sharp, and the casting is perfect.

although i adore raf i wasn't as drawn to what he did at jil sander. this for me is the purest essence of jil sander....and unlike under prada control, this jil sander designed work feels like jil being free and limitless....as we remembered her best.

and btw,juicemajor....i cannot agree with you more. to be honest, simplicity can often be deceptive to what lies beneath and jil is a master craftswoman....an immaculate tailor.....in my view along the lines of yohji in that sense.

#fact the Queen is back with a bang

What a comeback..

I did love what Raf did but Jil understands and cuts womenswear like the palm of her hand. I love the mood of this, I actually don't see pressure.. at least not the kind of pressure seen in her previous collection (2005), this has such a positive vibe, modesty, the energy of someone that really wants to do this again, and confidence. Nice to see things fall back into place in fashion for once.

What a sad collection. She has no youth in her. Everything that Jil ever was is in Celine now. But the difference is that Celine does it better. Her style and her taste hasn't been relevant since the 90s. Minimalism has changed now and I don't think she can go along with it. And saying that this is better than what Raf Simons did for the brand truly is an insult. He pushed this brand further along than she frankly ever could.

I can't lie, this collection doesn't make me uneasy with excitement, but it is a marvelous collection nonetheless. Where it lacks in excitement it makes up for, many times over, with craftsmanship and execution. Even from the first smaller photos you can see that these pieces were made by a true master. This collection did exactly what Jil needed it to do, reintroduce her as the peerless tailor she is.

This is all so nice, simple, clean, understated, both casual and elegant.
