I'm addicted to flip-flops in the summer. If I'm going casual, they're the only option. But my feet never manage to get *that* dirty
That is one of my pet peeves. Dirty white flip-flops.Originally posted by HBoogie@Apr 19th, 2004 - 9:59 pm
At least you weren't wearing dirty white platform flip-flops.
I saw several people wearing those today. It looked like they had dusty marshmallows strapped to their feet.
Unless you are out gardening or something.

Remember the piles of garbage sitting on the sidewalks for days last summer? When you're in flip-flops, all of the dirt, garbage juice, barf, and other misc. crap (including dog crap) is going to potentially end up flying againt the bottom of your feet as you walk. There is always glass strewn about the sidewalks and nails and scraps of metal . . . I rarely see any public workers cleaning anything in this city. They do sweep the streets around NYU once in awhile
, but on the whole- yuck. I am not agianst flipflops in general, just in particularly dirty cities. I wear open toed shoes/sandals in the summer, but ones that are secured to my foot. There's my two cents- oh and I hate the shuffle that they tend to encourage

I dunno... I don't think NYC is that dirty... I mean yes.. it's a city.. there's dirt everywhere... but I dont see glass lying on the sidewalk *shrug*..Originally posted by Alliecat@Apr 20th, 2004 - 10:08 am
