Former 'NSync member coming out of the closet?

Reichen...such a hottie. I loved him.

It makes me sad that we live in a world where people have to hide their sexuality, but sadly that is the case. With a group like his, I can see why he was I say forced into hiding it-it's a group of 5 young men designed to appeal to women, to make teenage girls everywhere fawn over them. If there was an openly gay man in the group it would be harder because some people would not approve of their kids buying the record for the fact that there is a gay man in the group. That saddens me. And you think that we are moving forward, but my state by a 5-4 vote upheld the DOMA which bans gay marriage this morning and I feel ashamed to be an American when I know that people I know are not getting equal rights.

aww i'm happy for him. I automatically knew it was Lance when I saw the title of this thread lol. Not the least bit surprised :D

When everyone else was obsessing over Justin and JC, I absolutely loved Lance.

Oh well, I was young. ;) My gaydar wasn't intuned yet.

Good for him. :) Hopefully everyone is accepting of him.

I hope he's happy. Oddly enough, he was the only N'syncer I had a crush on. I didn't see it coming until my friend kept metioning it to me.

Lance Bass: I'm gay

'N Sync singer worried he would harm group

Thursday, July 27, 2006; Posted: 3:24 a.m. EDT (07:24 GMT)
NEW YORK (AP) -- Lance Bass, band member of 'N Sync, says he's gay and in a "very stable" relationship with a reality show star.
Bass, who formed 'N Sync with Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, tells People magazine that he didn't earlier disclose his sexuality because he didn't want to affect the group's popularity.
"I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything," he tells the magazine.
'N Sync is known for a string of hits including "Bye Bye Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me." The band went on hiatus in 2002. Bass has also found headlines for undertaking astronaut training and failing to raise money for a trip into space.
Bass says he wondered if his coming out could prompt "the end of 'N Sync." He explains, "So I had that weight on me of like, 'Wow, if I ever let anyone know, it's bad.' So I just never did."
The singer says he's in a "very stable" relationship with 32-year-old actor Reichen Lehmkuhl, winner of season four of CBS' "Amazing Race."
Bass and Fatone, 29, are developing a sitcom pilot inspired by the screwball comedy "The Odd Couple," in which his character will be gay.
"The thing is, I'm not ashamed -- that's the one thing I want to say," Bass says. "I don't think it's wrong, I'm not devastated going through this. I'm more liberated and happy than I've been my whole life. I'm just happy."

Finally, sounds like things are not going well between Lance Bass and his lover, Reichen Lehmkuhl. Insiders say Reichen forced Bass to come out at the same time that he is releasing his book, Here’s What We’ll Say so that he could ride the publicity. Also, there is word that Lance finds Reichen to be too “controlling.”

Interesting how public scandals and newly-released books seem to go so well together....:innocent:
