Gap F/W 08.09 NYC

I wanty something more girly/womanly. This screams BOY/MEN. Somehow it has a little soft touch but.. I don't know, I donät feel anything special for this collection. Maybe a little bit last year in this collection?

I REALLY like it. I would wear almost everything. I'll definitely be checking GAP out again when this stuff hits the stores.

Too much hateration in this dancerie...:innocent:

Why shouldn't Gap get to have a runway presenation? I mean if Kimora Lee Simmons of all people, has not one but two shows this season then I'm quite fine with Gap, a brand that has been around forever and provided decent basics, having a runway show. More power to them. Some of this looks great in my opinion - the entire outfit on Alana is perfection. There is a bit too much layering but I've seen worse.

I think it looks great. I actually see things I want for myself and girlfriend.

Totally,

It's the Gap, you expect something different, these clothes look so much better than what the company has been putting out. Lots of nice basics, the keyword here is "nice". I assume this is part of the efforts Patrick Robinson has done for the company? Does anyone know if this was done under his direction?

there are more pictures on style.com with a few brighter colors. i'd say this is a huge step in the right direction for the gap, and this presentation was the perfect reintroduction back into fashion.

Young and edgy. I like this a lot actually. GAP has really been stepping it up. I like the neutral color pallet with the subtle blues, reds, pinks etc. The styling is great.

The styling is excessive is what it is. Over-accessorizing to cover up their boring, untaylored, ever-so-lifeless "fashion".

O! I thought they were gonna do an actual show and not a presentation...bummer. Waste of money on those big models if you put them in a presentation IMO..should've invested in some color....

heu i even wonder why they do a presentation...:ninja:
i mean it's GAP... just a showroom is enough.....

it's the gap. it's not going to be mindblowing, but there is a lot of very nice, wearable pieces. i would definitely wear and buy some of it. the shoes are really great too.

Haters gone hate but I think this is a major step up for Gap. MAJOR. I think they had a show because they're trying to change the image for the brand and I think the changes they've made look great. In all honestly these are not earth shattering clothes but these are things that almost everyone can afford - most of what is shown for Fashion Week can't be bought by everyone so its nice to see something that is a bit more accessible in terms of price.

And I want that grey leather jacket. Now.

who styled this???
this very APC...
and this is basic, so i like... but def. no need to make a presentation....

a lookbook is enough....

i love this. not everything works but i love the palette, the slouchiness, the nonchalance of it. i'd wear a lot of this.

I think it's dull. There are, though, some outstanding pieces but other than that, not much to really covet and consider.
