before looking in this thread i had only seen photos of genevieve at fashion related events. so i had assumed that she worked in the fashion industry as a stylist or editor. i had no idea she was a socialite who climbed her way to the top. Considering her background that is quite impressive, since New York Society, and the fashion industry always seem to be very picky about who they let in to their inner circles.

I don't believe this rich artist lover rumor. Even if it had been true at some time, I doubt she would still have all the high class friends she has, and I'm sure his wife would have known by now, and would have cut Genevieve off. Which just leads back to the golden question of where her money comes from. By now I assume she is paid to attend events, and more often to wear certain clothes. She also has the income from her jewelry line. But when she first arrived on the scene I would love to know how she pulled it off.

Yes at times her make-up does give her an ashy look. I think it is because she is using the wrong foundation and other make-up. She, and the make-up artists she uses probably don't realize what goes well with her skin-tone.

I really do love her personal style. When she tries to look classy, she pulls it off really well. But at times she dresses and acts way too young for her age. It's not becoming. All these party pics, and hanging out with people like Cory Kennedy just makes her look like a wannabe, who just cares about partying and being cool. I just wish she would grow up a little at those aspects of her life.

And I feel really bad for Julia Restoin Roitfield when she stands next to Genevieve. Genevieve just outshines her. Which is really hard to do.

Anyway sorry for the long post. I'm subbing to this thread, and I'm eager to see more of Genevieve in the future. I really do like this mysterious air she tried to build around herself.

there has been talk going a long way back by multiple sources about the rich lover and the low beginnings.

imo, it's pretty much kosher now.
