why do men give women underwear? it's like a
concealed offer...maybe you want to come closer to the guys^^

I hate buying gifts for men too! It's sooo hard. I like buying scarves and hats, because some look really sexy on men, but some guys don't like that stuff. I don't know how much it costs, but I just thought of a swiss army knife (you know how they like their tools/gadgets)...Keep posting ideas guys...I might get inspired for my own shopping.

DVDs of a favourite show are always good too, but you'd have to know them well enough to know what they like....seinfeld is a good classic.

Sad to say these guys are all gay :p So I'm thinking army knives are not the way to go!

I'm looking into hats and scarves and gloves too, just having trouble finding a nice pair that I like. I just bought my dad one from Kenneth Cole for $68 dollars but for people I work with, that's wayyy too much.

For the girls I just got these adorable hand-sewn decorative pillows that cost about $15 bucks and have shoes/fun quotes on them...I thought it was perfect and fitting because of where I work, but damn these men are tough...

^lol i know i would find a knife handy :shifty:

anyway if you know them well enough, i think you should buy guys things they need
or something that has to do with what they're interested in, like certain hobbies

I always think that if you don't know a person well enough to know what they'd like, that it's good to give consumable items. Like candles, jelly beans, gift cards. I know I hate to be given something that will just sit around because it isn't my taste. I feel bad for the person who wasted their money on something that I will eventually give away.

i like the dvd idea.

maybe something basic in a nice fabric? like cashmere socks or something. who doesn't love those. and not very expensive either.

or... i'm sure you have thought of this already but.. gift cards is always an option.

maybe you can invite them to dinner ina restaurant or cook with/for them after work

I personally don't like candles/jelly beans, etc. but I agree with you that I don't like getting things that will just end up lying around (picture frames, candle holders, etc).... as for cooking for someone, it's hard enough to get me to cook for my hubby!! hehe

yeah i'm so lost, i've no idea what to get my boyfriend for christmas. i know he wants a new cowboyshirt because i stole his last one =p but other than a shirt, i've no idea what to get him.

what about some nice aftershave/lotion/whatever? My boyf and I are doing cheap gifts this year and thus far what i'm planning on getting him are portable speakers for his laptop mp3 player and a voucher for a wet shave a really lovely old school men's shave/hair cut place in London called Murdock. Anyway i think it's a great idea for guys to experience a true wet shave experience and the place also stocks some amazing mens skincare stuff that my boyfriend saw and was raving about so I'm sure there are places like that in NYC as well......

:buzz: Guys like electronics, don't they? Good idea about the speakers, Meg. I really love that!

for under $50
-cologne
-tickets to pro sporting event (cheapy seats)
-DVDs - Family Guy, The Office, Arrested Development are sure bets.
-those Ferrero Rocher pyramids
-random stuff from AA: t-shirts, hoodies *if you know their sizes
-iTunes card

Slippers, really? Like for bedtime?
I dunno, I cuold see a guy wearing those but I'm not 100%.

Boxers are almost too easy, but satin boxers are kinky! :brows:
 You're probably not romantically involved with your boys iximpixi,
but nothing is hotter than when a guy wears boxers that don't just have Spongebob or reindeer on them.

my boyfriend has boxers with 4 leaf clovers on them... i think they're cute^_^
boxers are a really good ideaB)
