Gift Ideas for Guys

ugh i spent so much money on my bf.

i got him DJing headphones with his initials engraved, a $100 starbucks card, some mihara yasuhiro pumas and this Aalto vase.

^ I love the idea of the headphones! :buzz: That could be costly, but the idea of some kick-a$s headphones is neat.

guys are the worst to shop for. that's why i've basically given up to buy gifts for guys. my dude got golf balls. cause he loves to play golf. why not encourage that instead of encouraging him to spend more time with me

I got my best guy friend this poster because it's the epitome of all things cool about guys who love loud music.

^ Last year I gave my boyfriend a t-shirt with that photo! :woot:

For Christmas I got my dad a radio control helicopter. He has about five now, but he just loves them. We also got him cologne, The War DVD set, sweaters, and various gadgets. Essentially, electronics and gadgets.

I know Christmas is over, but for birthdays I'd definitely suggest something video game related (a PSP?) or for some guys, a money clip. My boyfriend just thinks they are so cool.

^That's a very thoughtful gift, I don't know enough about your bf, but guys I know generally don't respond well to (serious) clothing. :ermm:

I've bought
designer shirts,
a silver pendant with a stone,
another pendant on a black knotted string,
several engravings or lithographs - which he liked for his house
some books,
earrings - pearls, stones, silver

I baked chocolate cake to go along with it- several times :-P

Next time I think I will buy perfume :-)

Gift Ideas? pls... Amer gal to Brit guy ...

Hmm, just a bit stumped... I have a relatively new online male friend (Aussie born) living in London whose Bday is coming soon, and have no idea what to get him. He's a major jock, biz conservative type. I wanted to get him something small and classy (and inexpensive, under $40). My usual 'safe' gift is esteban incense (by nippon kodo), but from what I understand it's an easy item to get there, plus he's not an incense type of guy. Living in the US, I'm wondering if there is anything unique that I could send him...Any ideas?? HELP!! - thanks all...

As a guy Id like to recieve a scarf or a belt, or depending on how upscale they dress, cufflinks or a tie... these seem like gifts that could go across the board for many different people.

hats fit differently on everyone so that's more difficult... mens bracelets are kind of in style right now, a simple silver/leather bracelet could work too.

hope this helps :)

Thanks! Those are great ideas, but I don't know his closet well...So, I'm trying to stay away from clothing related.
I'm scratching my head wondering what we have in US, that can't be easily bought/found in UK?

Politicians ;) I jest, I jest.

Buying Fashion for Someone else...

this thread was made for people to ask others what they should and shouldn't buy as a present.

I always have problems buying things for men, i never know what they'll like,
I need to buy shoes for a boy, he's 16, has long(ish) dark red hair, green eyes, tall, skinny, and normally wears skinny jeans with hoodies. (If you have difficulty picturing him, think of Cintia Dicker as a boy:D)
He seems to like earthy colors, grays, purples, and greens.
(i'm 16 btw)

shoes are a tough one, but I bet a pair of combat boots or doc's wouldn't be off base.
