Oh please, this is utter bullsh*t. She even said herself that Forbes gets it wrong. There is no doubt in my mind that she is the highest paid model but $45 million? No. Sorry. Wrong. Forbes or no Forbes, I don't personally see how she could make that much money. Maybe they are adjusting for inflation or something, but a model making as much money as an athlete or an actor? I don't get it. I don't see how it is possible for a model to make $45 million. She isn't Ralph Lauren or anything.

I believe she has investments in many areas - including property - which, when added to her earnings from modelling and the profits from her businesses, probably do add up to a considerable income, when taken together. Money makes money - earning the first million is the hardest part, but once you can invest serious amounts in sensible ventures, the returns can roll in.

Her sandals collection is a huge success both in Brazil and Europe. As for her denial regardings Forbes' numbers, I find that very elegant.

Forbes takes into account all business ventures, not just modeling. They are a highly respected business magazine and I doubt they would report false information. Even Vogue references their Top Earning Models list, so I think it's safe to say their estimations are right on point.

Please. Forbes is a business magazine but... it's not exactly the most respected one. They have a list of fictional character's wealth for pete's sake And they do get things wrong:

But how much can Forbes really know about how much Gisele is worth? Reports of her earnings are merely reports, unconfirmed by Gisele and her people, many guessed by Forbes reporters themselves. Gisele told GQ in 2008 that Forbes had wildly overestimated her salary; she may have been motivated to downplay her earnings for tax and personal-image purposes, but Forbes can only know so much when most of the figures are not made public. It's also not impossible that Gisele's agents gave some tips — possibly exaggerated ones — to Forbes to make her seem incredibly, incredibly wealthy so they look good (but also not likely — it's hard to imagine her agents telling reporters anything about her bank account). Also, it's hard for anyone to say definitively how much a celebrity like Gisele is really worth. Who knows if she even knows? The woman is surely a millionaire — who cares about a few extra million here and there?

Here is an intersting article from The Daily Mail, so guess I do not know how reliable the info is but from what their saying she is now getting a cut of the profits from the sandals and intimates line, she is not just licensing her name

Of course Gisele would never talk about such info. She can't even say she loves her step son or that she can eat junk food without being torn to shreds . Could you imagine if she talked (and in some people's cases with her "bragged") about her earnings? yikes.

^I must say I was shocked at the bashing Gisele took, but I thought she handled herself really well esoecially since Bridgett was really hitting below the belt by trying to make her out to be homewrecker, where it was Bridgett who ran to the tabloids and bashed Giselle. Gisele's Ipanema Sandals reportedly made 31 million in their first year out (2001). I wonder how much they rake in now? To me that was her best investment ever.

Her Hope Lingerie deal is estimated to bring her 19 million by the end of the year. Its her brands, not just modeling. She is a pure (successful) business woman now.
