WHITE HOT: Riccardo Tisci has earned a reputation for unexpected and trend-setting casting for Givenchy’s advertising: mixing girls and boys, celebrities and models. Last season, he added a frisson of controversy by casting a transsexual, and for next spring-summer, look out for strapping albino model Stephen Thompson. In pale black-and-white portraits shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Thompson appears along with other Givenchy regulars like Mariacarla Boscono, Daphne Groeneveld and Iris Strubegger in overlapping exposures reminiscent of fashion photography experiments in the Fifties. During an exclusive preview, Tisci explained that he’s long admired albino people, reflected in the pale flesh tones that are recurrent in his fashions. “They’re very near my world,” he enthused. The campaign is set to break in the January issue of L’Uomo Vogue, French Vogue in February and several American titles in March. Tisci said the idea for his latest collections — and the campaign — dovetailed from a Robert Mapplethorpe photo of an alabaster Roman bust atop a stretch of leopard-print fabric.

This is..... beautiful! I love this campaign!!!

i love how stark this looks like. can't wait to see how they'll translate all the sheer animal prints with this albino aesthetic.

By the way I've yet to mention it... but I screamed when the image came across my screen... that's how much I loved it. I kinda want to make it my Facebook picture but people will judge me :/

BTW is anyone else reminded of the Vogue Paris cover?? In the since that someone again is peeking from behind Daphne

Look very good i like the ghost color

I'm not huge on Daphne but I think I will end up loving this campaign...
but then again, it's M&M, they tend to make every model appealing to me, no matter how much I might dislike him or her.
something different from usual dark Givenchy.

Omg I'm loving this already. Stellar casting. I hope Simon Nessman is in these!

So far I really like it, maybe even more than the previous campaign. I'm not a huge fan of Daphne too and I wasn't too much excited too see her in it, but as I see, she fits Gyvenchy's look perfectly. I can't wait to see the shots with Iris!

I thought that was Lara Stone at the first time. Definitely very promising campaign.
can't wait to see more!

I love it. She look a like so much lara stone. Anyway this ads stunning.:wub:

Love it so far. The ghostly colour is so eyecatching and appealing. Another great campaign from M&M. Not a fan of Daphne but I just love this one.
