Going braless - do you?

Ohmygosh in my eyes that is completely completely okay! Of course, I don't really want to see anyone's nipples but it's a bit like armpit hair (haha), something that society has *made* into something unacceptable but is really part of our human selves! Usually I don't wear a bra with my American Apparel leotard/U-neck dress because it's black and because I like the lines it creates and I don't have a bra that won't ruin them. Also, if I'm wearing something out of really thick material I also sometimes don't wear a bra. I do concerts all the time wearing my strapless LBD bra-less. Because it's not needed!

Besides, my mummy says that wearing a bra increases the risk of getting bra cancer. And my mummy's always right :)

I am relatively small (32 B ), so unless I wear a padded bra or push up it doesn't really make any difference. However I always wear Victoria's Secret Secret Embrace series.

I think one-half of society finds the sight of nipples very 'acceptable' indeed, but I'd like all of me to be considered as worthy of attention, and I might occasionally have something important to say, and I'd like one or two people to be listening...

I'm a B cup, smallish breasts and I do go out without a bra when the clothes demand it. But it's Otherwise I always wear a bra. I actually don't like not wearing a bra, I'm so used to my breasts being irrelevant, that having to consider them and having others(i don't know what is worse) recognize their existence, it's a bore. I never wear bras at home, though.

Wrt to bra cancer, I certainly hope my bras don't get it :(

 Me too ta-ta!

I always wear a bra because of my chest size, but if I was smaller chested I probably would as well since I would be concerned that they wouldn't hold their shape as a I got older

^ Sad to say, a lingerie store ... it would be out with the old, in with the new ...

I don't have any problem with going bra-less... just look at Kate Moss. She looks great, all the time. I almost never wear a bra too, since I have small boobs like her. She's my inspiration. ;)

I miss my bra-less days. I was like an A-B until having children. Now there's no way that I can go sans bra.

citizen arrest. lol!

My back already hurts with my bra on, I guess my spine would crack if I decided to go without it.
I have D boobs and seriously, they get stared at a lot. I don't even want to imagine what would happen if I would unleash their full force. So I always wear a bra. Which means that I simply can't wear some styles like backless dress or halternecks or strapless. That's annoying sometimes but then again, the girls aren't really entirely bad, so I won't complain about them. :D

i wear it almost always. i don't really like to be without it, because i'm so used to wear it, so i would feel uncomfortable braless

Have you tried a convertible bra? Many of the bras I own from VS are convertible style, or at least the back part of the strap can come undone, so I can do a halter with ease. And for me, I find that I can do many strapless dresses because the ones I get run a little small in the bust area, so the girls are locked and loaded.

^I have tried to go with a strapless bra and felt awful. I felt like it was going to drop. Halterneck seriously makes my neck ache very bad. And we don't have VS in Germany and most of the convertible bras of other brands aren't produced in my size.
But like I said, not complaining.

I have never found a strapless bra that worked for me either, but all my strapless dresses have silicone strips at the top to help keep them up and help avoid flashing the entire world my chest. I've never really had problems with halters though-I wear the triangle bikini tops (never will wear another style-tan lines are a no-no) and don't have a ton of problems. In fact, I find that out and about my boobs actually look smaller when I am in swimsuit.

For backless tops, I actually am wanting to create a bra that has a detailed back piece. Take a bra that I don't wear often, or get a cheap one from VS. Redo the back so instead of it being cloth, there is something like a band of sequins, or crystals, or chain, or something. Also redo the straps so that it's something fun but supportive, like covering it in crystals or sequins. I have a cute top that I've been wanting to wear for the longest time but it's totally backless and it would hurt to wear for more than 10 minutes if I didn't have a top underneath it.

I think that's actually a great idea. Why always hide the bra? If it was a beautiful one, why not combine it with the dress like any other piece of clothing?
I remember that Carrie in SATC often wore stuff and her bra was visible and it never looked cheap or bad.

That's a great idea. I hear a business opportunity calling your name ;)

It's actually an idea that I had for quite awhile, the only thing would be making a supportive back piece (ie, my 34DD's would have to be high and tight) that actually looks cute.

I go out quite often without a bra on but I don't think i'm a good example,I don't have breasts. It's far easier for us, tiny breasted girls, to walk around with no support, we don't need it,our bras are only an accessory

I suppose you could use a front closure ... they seem to be hard to find in larger sizes, I've noticed. I haven't had one in quite a while. Perhaps you could Velcro the decorative piece on?
