I dont remember it having those sides either. I like the size alot though, I need something like that for travel. But I like the one from the store better. :unsure:

I like that. I bought this luggage Tote for my documents yesterday at Gucci. I was actually deciding between this and the one above (the pictures I posted earlier, I loved the buckle detail) and ended up buying this one. To me its more sturdier and very good to carry around documents.

^^^Thats really cute for business.^_^ And the style looks easy to carry, on the shoulder or by the hand. At first I didnt like the buckle straps on the other one, but on 2nd thought, they look kinda nice.

ETA: How much is the one with the buckle straps? It looks authentic.

Okay, the buckle tote is on Gucci.com for $985 under luggage. It looks sturdy. The one I posted doesnt look that sturdy.

Thats okay, Im gonna save up for it, and order it from Gucci. I dont mind, at least there's no disputing its origins. :lol:
 
OK. I got my large black horsebit yesterday ... and its HUGE. Today I ordered the medium, which is think is the size I was anticipating (should have gotten a tape measure out ...). I'll post comparisons, since I have 30 days to return the large, which I'm going to keep safely in the box until I make the final decision; I can't afford two Gucci bags that look IDENTICAL.

BTW, my boyfriend had a lot of fun teasing me about how big the bag was.

I had the same problem...I bought the med. in carmel about two years ago...loved it...decided that I wanted the larger size in black..got it...my husband told me that I looked like I was playing dress-up with my mom's purse (I'm 5'2...120 something lbs.) I put all my crap in it...wore it to Panera...to Saks...for about a week and fell in love with it....the only reason I changed bags a week ago is b/c I got a Fendi Spy bag...DO NOT RETURN IT...TRY IT OUT...YOU WILL LOVE IT!:p :D I'm thinking about putting the carmel on ebay...
 
I dont like the medium one. It looks "blah" to me. The charm of the horsebit hobo lies in the size. Keep the big one!! Its great on petite women, my friend has one, she carries it well. :D

Do you think I should "try out" the large a few times to see how I like it? Will I endanger not being able to return it? I really only need room for my big wallet, cosmetics bag, my Economist and my Vogue, my palm and my phone. That leaves a lot of room!
 
I need a GUCCI Aficionado to help me. Does anyone know what year or time span did GUCCI have the Gucci Plus Line. I mean, when did they make the bags that have the GG and the word "Plus" in the middle of the GG? My mom has one and her mom gave it to her. I am really intrigued because I only see A few around. Its very rare.

Yes..."try it out" my SA At Gucci told me too b/c I had the same reasons for wanting to return it...besides....you'll end up packing more in it that the items you named...trust me...I'm not a pack rat, and I do...the beauty is in the size fo the bag....I think it looks "sloppy chic":p

I don't think your two mag. will enen fit in the med...at least not the med. hey had a few years ago:cry:

:woot: i've just been given a gucci plus by my mum too... her mum gave it to her as part of her wedding gift... that would be in 1984... if that helps...

been thinking of getting the large hobo:heart: how big are they really??? anyone has the exact size? also.. does the large one comes with zipped top? magnet? i mean what "close" the opening???
 
I'm in love with the new leather duffel from Gucci with the embossed G logo...in black.

Its on the site, and the new Details has an ad with it, as well as posting it into a spread.

I had troulbe with the pic from the site, and the link on another board....so I wont even try here.:rolleyes:

the leather is so durable that so long as you don't drag it on the ground you should be able to gently wear it a few times without putting your ability to return it at jeopardy. I agree with the others that this bag is more fashionable in the large and you'll have a hard time fitting 2 magazines in the medium. and you don't want to fill this bag to the brim anyone, even if you can. it doesn't look as good that way and it becomes impossible to find anything. with that said, you have to be comfortable wearing it regardless of what anyone else says. if you're not you won't look good in it and you should return it. it's all about the confidence!
 
I have the large version in the brown/caramel/hazelnut color from spring 05. I've barely used it, actually haven't touched it in months, and the bottom corners, where the side pieces of leather meet the bottom piece, are all worn off. It's a really obvious color difference and pathetic for a supposedly high quality bag I rarely use. Does anyone have any suggestions to improve the look? Should I try some shoe polish? I'm scared about finding the right color.....the SA at gucci keeps insisting I use mink oil, but again, I'm sort of scared. I've tried leather conditioner and it just went back to how it looked after drying. Anyone have any ideas?

Exactly. The huge size isn't about how many things you are or aren't going to put in the bag. Thats totally irrelevant. The size IS the style.

Damn, now y'all making me want one! :lol:

I'd have Gucci send it for repairs...the bag is less than a year old:shock: ! I definately wouldn't use shoe polish:o. I have the same color in the med size...that didn't happen to mine:blink: . Good Luck:flower:
