ITALIAN ACCENT: High fashion is about to get another major name. According to industry sources, Gucci’s creative director, Frida Giannini, is working on a debut couture collection. It is understood Gucci does not plan to show its couture on the Paris runway, but sell it on a by-appointment basis and use the couture label to service top celebrities for big red-carpet occasions. Gucci declined comment.
