It’s quite an ugly bag. There’s nothing about it that looks fresh. I didn’t care for it in the black when Gaga debuted it, but seein it in this brown is even worse. It has no personality.
Agreed ! But it looks nice on Angelina Jolie though. It has more a timeless feeling with her than with Lady Gaga.
That bag is a mixture between Hermès and Gucci. It doesn´t scream modernity at all, it´s just more vintage crap.
Downgrade for the brand, whose leather goods used to be original ... but I can't say it's disappointing, it more meets expectations.
The bag really does look cheap, like you can find it on AliExpress.
Coming soon to an "iOffer Bags, Lushfashions.com, etc." thread near you.
By the looks of the billboards expect to see a Saint Laurent 2.0 version.
Really? I'm getting something quite different. Sure look of the models is the similar, but there's a real soft, delicate, almost romantic vibe in those pictures, compared to how dark and moody most of his Saint Laurent pictures were.
I might be biting my tongue completely here but between the pictures and the bag which has a sophisticated and timeless vibe, I get the sense his Celine will be more chic, mature and feminine looking than his Saint Laurent. It's what I hope anyway!
Everything that I have seen util now is not totally ugly or offensive, its just too basic sometimes.
I dont what to expect ATM and this make me more anxious for the show, so congratulations Hedi??
Hedi Slimane Reveals His First Celine Invite: A Bound Book of Parisian Nightlife Haunts
Based of that lookbook Ruito is right, its basically SLP 2.0 ie 80s coke wh*re about town
So ott and pretentious for what I’m sure will be the same ole schitck
bof / le figaro
"I am delighted to come back to a French house", says the man who has only been a creative director at Dior and Saint Laurent.
Really doubt whether his responses are spontaneous. To me it sounds like he had at least 24hrs to generate a response. This does not sound like the same guy who had a Twitter meltdown years ago about SLP's logo. And he dared to label the public's reaction to Celine's adjustment 'emotional.' Also, at the very short response regarding Germanotta and the handbag. Please! Money exchanged hands.
That said, I'm keen to see the collection now. Talk is cheap, the proof will be in the pudding.
I'm actually really looking forward to his debut even though I can't shake the feeling that I might see a case of "been there, done that" from him. If he does intend to do a complete makeover and his Celine ends up like Michele's Gucci, then I hope he at least revives the spirit of his very last collection for Saint Laurent instead of the vile, grungy mess one.
I have to laugh again.
That is one ugly bag.
1. these all caps caption is the worse from of writing. Stop your pretentious *** and write like regular people. It adds nothing to the brand.
2. The bag is cheap. At least from the look of it. What makes Phoebe's Celine so wonderful was the bags that was subtle in design yet recognisable.
3. the marketing of archive is really starting to remind me of MGC's Dior. The way they have to pull the archive note to sell any design is just beyond annoying. Especially when he wants the flip the brand over.
4. If you slap YSL on it and it's a SLP bag.
Still, looking forward to seeing the full collection. But the new two bags look like they belong from different collection.
