True, IMG compared to.... anyone else.
I think the 10,000 is referring to her day rate and that is feasible for the very top models. But for most models it's a lot less. In the US, for good agency models it's about $1,500 a day or $150 and hour with a minimum of 2 or 3 hours.
And then the client pays a commission on top of that ... usually about 20% (And the model pays a commission too, also about 20% ... so the agency keeps 40% of whatever rate they negotiate with the client).
Even relativally newer models can make 10 grand a day if they've got the right clients on their side.
Book a job with a top catalogue client and you're banking 10 000 a day, even as a new face.
There's already a thread like this, btw.
In my opinion editorials should be paid A LOT more. It's so much effort to shoot them and it would be fair to get at least a bit money out of this..I really don't get this. In every other job you're paid your working hours too.
I would love to do an interview/portfolio shoot to go along with it.
Yeah I know but when you're a model you also need to pay your expenses and not just working for building your book. And you never know if you'll ever get a campaign...You know what I mean?
