How to wear leggings successfully

I disagree, i think they look great on some people who pull them off well. Wearing them with boots, and a long shirt that covers your ***, unless you have a nice one or whatever, you can look good. And yes, you do need the body. These are some looks i like that are easy to follow. Its what i like, so please dont criticize it or say i'm wrong.

I think they look best worn at the ankles, not at the knees. And they look best on people with small feet like me. I have worn leggings only once this year (I was dead drunk, that's my excuse). I wore all black - black mini dress, black flat peep-toes and a black trench. And guess what, I didn't look victim

I wasnt saying that you do or dont need a great body to pull them off, i meant that either way you will look rubbish in them. I think those pictures of Lohan are more examples of how they just make you look like you have forgotten your shorts/trousers/skirt etc
The first picture is passable as she looks "posh" in it, leggings have the effect of making the wearer look cheap if you ask me, something lohans already really good at.
Thats a bit unfair, you can have an opinion but i cant? I just seriously dislike the things and think they look rubbish and thats my opinion, your totally welcome to yours.

I already inputted that I think leggings can reasonably be an occassional part of a wardrobe without being fashion victim o trend wh*re. That being my stance I wouldn't wear any of the looks on Lilo in those pictures. I don't think she's ever a good example of how to wear anything.

I don't think Lindsay look good in them at all she is the epitome on 'try hard'... like i said you need the body and know how to wear them right here are my examples:


These girls have aleady a great personal style, so you can get away with them without looking like a victim. It's hard but that is what makes it fun, because i know that I look hot in mine.



But I think you should leave leggings until it gets colder!

Theyre difficult to wear, in the sense that its so easy to look cheap in them but in the other hand i DO think they can look good if wear them properly. Thyre not new anymore so now theyre just another garmen as someone said before. so theres nothing to be upset about. youre not a victim if you used them cause theyre not new, you are in fact a victim if you look awful in them or whatever you wear thats unappropiate. In case someone doesnt like leggings i ask in a really nice way to stop those mean comments. theres people like me that like them and actually try to look nice in them or whatever.

Im not being mean and Im not upset by a piece of clothing.
Just peoples over the top reactions because I dont happen to agree with them.
Leggings are Leggings, you have your opinions and i'll have mine.

I wore leggings today. I am wearing one of those strapless smocking top dresses which I haven't worn in forever but it's so hot today (in the 90s) I just couldn't wear a normal jeans and shirt outfit to school. So I wore that little smocking dress that hits just above my knees and cropped leggings that hit high on my calf. And flat slides. And I didn't cause anyone to go blind I don't think.

i am currently "successfully" wearing ankle length leggings with an oversized/man's shirt. they also look good with short poofy strapless dresses (also known as... all the poofy kneelength skirts i never wear as skirts anymore and have hoiked up over my breasticles).

i dont get why people say they are useless?
i like wearing skirts and dresses and i also like to sit in "revealing" positions. so if i wear nothing underneath other than my panties, how indecent that would be if i sit in one of my poses.

i know i can look better than i do right now with leggings. but im having a time off from looking chic and stylish so i just look whatever, as long as im comfortable. it's not like im walking around downtown fashion area impressing everyone.

i also want to add leggings are a great substitut for pants. pants under skirts/dresses is worse!

^ I must say, I disagree on the pants + dress as being worse..it can look really nice if executed properly.. people here are a bit over seeing every gal in leggings..it's not that it's bad, it's that it's overdone.

I agree. I just cant stand leggings theyre so common and trendy. Everyone here wears them under cheap smock dresses and babydolls or under nasty shorts or denim skirts...it just awful

I just don't really "see" leggings. Likely, it is because I lack the body to wear them. I don't really see them as all that cute. Perhaps, more like an afterthought.

I've seen sucessful instances of wearing them, but I'm just not quite convinced on leggings. Of course, I'm in Miami, so I'm not so quick to throw on another layer either.

And I'm tired of seeing them sub for pants too!
