Fashion rule #1: Keep your stylist on speed dial.

It's a little kept Hollywood secret that a starlet is only as good as her stylist. So it's no wonder that up-and-coming nymphets saw their celebrity burn bright hot once Rachel Zoe came into their style camp. From Lindsay Lohan to Keira Knightley and Mischa Barton, Zoe has transformed young Hollywood with renewed glamour and grandeur. Case in point: Zoe is credited for bringing Nicole Richie into a fashion persona that's all her own.

From party glitzy to chic outdoorsy, Rachel Zoe's Fall Lookbook will have you dressed up for every good fall occasion. Think of it as having a celebrity stylist by your side with each easy click. And best of all, we've got everything you need to get the look.

Ruffles with Cut-Off Skinny Jeans

"This is such the girl next-door look! Cut-off jeans like these from J Brand are a big trend for fall and are both playful and sexy. They look great paired with heels or flats and with anything from a fun t-shirt to a playful top or sweater like this Sunner top. One key to wearing ruffled shirts is to keep everything else tailored and simple. Ruffles add a lot of drama so be careful not to overdo it- I like to pair a ruffled top with jeans or a pencil skirt. This Trovata jacket pulls the outfit together and adds a nice touch of color for fall."

Sweater Dress with Tights

"The oversized sweater is so livable - it is great with jeans, or throw it on over tights or leggings, for a sexy and casual look. Wear with a belt to show your figure, or big chunky jewelry - so comfy, and perfect for a hangover day! A hat is a perfect compliment to this chic and cozy look."

Cropped Jacket with White Jeans

"These days there are so many great colors and styles of jeans to choose from. Colored jeans, such as white or black, are a refreshing alternative to your usual denim and winter white like these by J Brand is especially fun. Adding a cropped jacket like this Trina Turk one will create the illusion of a longer waist and make you look taller too. This outfit would also look great with a cardigan or vest instead of the jacket, or cropped pants or shorts with leggings instead of skinny jeans. I love mixing this Trunk Ltd. Shirt with a more feminine piece to soften the look. Puff sleeves are a great accent to an outfit especially in tweed for fall."

Chunky Sweater with Black

"Fall is all about the sweater! They are comfortable, easy to wear, and can tie your whole outfit together. With so many styles to choose from, be it cropped, chunky, fitted, or oversized, the sweater is essential. The look I styled here is sophisticated, but this same Trina Turk sweater would look adorable with a graphic tee and jeans, a skirt, or shorts over leggings. I could live in these pants-wear them with a t -shirt, tank or sweater-and don't be afraid to wear all black, especially as the weather gets cooler."

Military Hat with Belted Top
spacer.gif
"The military trend is easy to add to your current wardrobe by mixing and matching with jeans and boots. This hat is perfect for those bad hair days when you need a break from the world. A fitted cargo shirt cinched with a wide belt accentuates your waist and adds a new look to your favorite pair of skinny jeans. Pair with a fitted skirt or shorts and heels for another great military inspired look."

Toggle Jacket with Nautical Stripes

"J Brand jeans are a must have-they make a great skinny jean and look really cute tucked into boots for fall. Anyone can tuck their jeans into boots-try this with your bootcut jeans by folding them over to make them slim. The nautical trend is big for fall with lots of stripes, skulls and anchors. Just don't overdo the trend, pick one nautical item to work the outfit around. A great coat like this one by Trovata is an essential piece for fall and can mix and match with dresses, skirts, jeans and shorts for day or night

Geometric Print Dress with Tights
spacer.gif
"Make the most of your wardrobe by carrying things purchased during the summer into the fall simply by changing the way you accessorize. One of the best things about this Mint dress is that you can wear it year long in so many ways. Here I added tights, but it would also look great over skinny jeans, or with a vest or a cardigan thrown over it."

Jumpsuit with Wide Belt
spacer.gif
"Another trend making a comeback this fall is the jumpsuit. Youthful and playful, this Johnson jumpsuit is easily layered over a tank top and worn with flats. For a more mod look, try it with a striped sweater, long-sleeved shirt, or turtleneck and with leggings or tights. I also like it worn alone with heels and a belt as the key accessories."

Tailored Trench with Geometric Print Dress
spacer.gif
"There are no rules to how long a coat should be! Worn over a dress, it can be longer or shorter, whatever you are in the mood for-same goes for shorts, skirts or pants. This dress paired with leggings, boots and a coat is a perfect daytime fall look. Take your summer dresses into fall by simply adding a coat, boots and tights."

Ruffles and Jewel Tones
spacer.gif
"Ruffles are an easy way to achieve instant glamour and with jewel tones big for fall, this wine-colored dress by Sunner would make a fabulous entrance at any party! To accessorize I like leaving the neck bare, so as not to compete with the ruffles. Instead, add earrings or a big, fun cocktail ring to complement this 70's inspired, wrap-dress. Also, boots, heels or even sandals can change the look to fit any occasion."

So - these are the looks which will roam the streets in Autumn and Winter.. be prepared! :ninja: :p

I like a few of the individual pieces but the overall look is highly unoriginal and, imo, sloppy. Some of these outfits don't even say fall '06 to me (maybe fall '05 or summer '06). And the shiny footless tights are not appealing, at least not with any of these looks. But then again, there are few occaisions that call for shiny footless tights and even fewer people who could actually pull them off without looking like a try-hard.

1st and 2nd are look good

anyway, some items mentioned above are on my wishlist, chunky sweater, sweater dress, belted top...

basically LL wrapped up from the last two weeks and her elle photo shoot, huh?

^ i agree, these combinations doesnt seem interesting or anything out of the norm...

Great! The list of looks for me to avoid at all costs!

i wouldn't be caught dead in any of it...:yuk:...

I laughed outloud when I saw this :p

But, if anybody wants to really follow the "Rachel Zoe Fall 06 Style Guide," they're probably going to ******************:innocent: that's probably going to be edited

I agree with the 'concept' of the looks..but the execution- not so much. I highly doubt that was the 'military style' hat she was talking about:s.....

Are you kidding me? You don't need a stylist to dress this badly...she is so overrated...leather-skinned hag...horrible style tips and shameless self promotion...:sick::yuk:

The only tolerable thing I find there is a sweaterdress with tights. But definitely not the image they have to go with it.

Not most people look good in theese clothes. Some even look redicilous.
I like the first look, it's more classic than the rest, so it will probably work.

A few of the "looks" or outfits are okay... she may as well of had Lohan model them... meh.

Those white tights look like rejects from a 1970s space movie. Maybe they should be paired with some silver knee high boots. And there is nothing particulary cutting edge about these looks. They're all something that has been around for ages.
