I want a new hair color, but I need help!

Ok So I have naturally dark brown hair, peachy complexed fair skin, and very light green eyes. I kinda want to dye my hair black. Maybe like a soft shade of black or brown black. I am not sure what will go well with my complexion/eye combination. I know that I would never look good blonde or a light redhead. Or should I just get black lowlights with my hair. I am not sure what to do, but I do know I want to go to a pro. Or is there some way I can try black hair without the permanent commitment just in case I don't like it and can't get it out?
