waste of paper, waste of time, waste of money ...

my dears, next time publish a BOOK !!!!!!
something instructive that requested works and researches .... not just a copy/paste of what we can already read and see everywhere ....

über-production is killing the fashion magazine industry, seriously !
and we cannot even see the interesting titles that once in a while pop up ....
because all these sh**s got the attention (since the major editors are behind them ...)

which magazines are most interesting to you? the ones most worth your time and money?

which magazines are most interesting to you? the ones most worth your time and money?

:innocent:
What's your point exactly ?
Vogue US, Italia and Paris are worth my time, and money
iD is worth my time, and money
D&C is worth my time, and money
Any new interesting publication is worth my time, and money
and so on.

Anyway, never said it was my money and time, involved ... then yeah, they should do whatever they want with theirs.

just think it's more accomplished to do a beautiful, well documented and complete (from A to Z) book about the industry, than a magazine who will die and that will talk about the same people (or group of people) over and over again ...
it's not the subject in itself who really bother me, it's the medium (and the periodicity it involves) ...
and moreover, except from the articles about the stylists, and photographers (is there articles about photographers ?), the rest is already done by other magazines, right ?

so why a magazine ?
you'll say ... why not ?
and i'll say WHY ? Why not a Book ?

oh and there's a mistake in their "display": 3 of the stylists have "photographed by ..., written by ..."; Karl Templer has "written by ..., photographed by ...".

omg, a new fashion magazine? ... with anna wintour on the cover?
I MEAN.... I like the picture of her, but I can't see why she's a cover subject. because of the film now? because she is important?

I really don't see anything new in this issue, pathetic.

^ I think you missed the point.

If you read back a bit you'll see why she's on the cover. The entire article concerns editors turning into celebrities.

Self Service has already done this & better for years. And honestly, I don't care what Tommy Ton has to say, about anything.

^ Me neither, but if he continues to take pretty pictures of shoes and handbags during fashion month then he can continue to run his mouth for all I care.

i have to agree, the whole "tommy tom hype" is getting on my nerves. I understand the whole "influential over a night"-thing, but he's just irritating.

the aim of industrie, as a publication, is to shed more light on editors & those who work to produce what we see on the frontline of fashion. hence anna being on the cover.

^ and i actually think it's a brilliant idea to highlight the fashion editors' work, but anna isn't the only one out there, is she?
