InStyle - Worldwide

Well, it took them long enough! So glad she got this.
Kerry does look somewhat unlike herself, and the lighting is way too intrusive, but I like the shot.

I love the idea of her being on the cover BUT i hate what they did to her face!! That smirk what on earth were they thinking

My god, how can a woman as beautiful as she is not get ONE good cover!! I am starting to think she is just not good in front of the camera on a professional shoot! This is just another disastrous cover for her, can someone take a good cover image of this woman!!!

I don't care how many excuses they make about her lighter complexion - harsh lighting, reflective make-up - Kerry does not look like the black woman she is the rest of the time.

Shame on them, once again. I can't believe it's 2015 and magazines are still using lame techniques to whiten black actresses' skin.

Maybe it is her? Like I said, I don't think the lighting did her any favours here, but that smirk? Anyway, I think this is better than Allure, Lucky and ELLE, but not Vanity Fair.

It bothers me that she's not getting enough covers. For someone so fawned over from a style perspective and always supporting a varied range of designers, her record is very weak.

^ I'm starting to think she is simply not a "cover girl", it never works out, best one was VF, but even that one was not perfect because she looked uncomfortable there as well. Its such a huge difference from seeing her on talk shows, or even in paparazzi shots, where she is amazing.

Maybe it will be Vogue who might feature her, and do her actual justice?

Aye, a person can be incredibly telegenic - really compelling on screen - but their looks might not necessarily translate into being photogenic.

Yea, no. Sorry, still nothing for me. This was a complete non-event, this InStyle cover.

My god how horrible! And what a horrible cover choice, when will this woman's 15 mins be up!! Horrible singer, even worse style, and yet we live in a world where she is proclaimed "a style icon", what a joke!

Not UK InStyle's finest moment, I agree. The magazine is too modern, hip and young for my appreciation. You can see while leafing through that they're attempting to attract a much younger readership. I always remember the typical InStyle reader to be in their 30s. The magazine now, resembles Company or some other teenybopper title. Not to mention how InStyle's covers of late have appeared cold and unwelcoming on the newsstand.

You've hit the nail right on the head here! They do indeed struggle with an identity crisis. I find some of their content to be sophisticated, and some very tacky. And the issues are getting thinner and thinner. We all know what happened to Company......

I have no words for this trainwreck of a cover. Whoever represents Rita Ora deserves every penny he/she gets. I'm quite fed up with her and Rihanna dominating the newsstands.
