I don't understand the fuss about 3d and fashion's mags. Is it supposed to incite consumers to buy the mag?
I don't care for it and it actually reminds me more of trick magazines I used to buy when I was a kid.

I know, the 3-D thing is popping up all over the place at the moment - on TV, in films and now magazines. It's an old gimmick getting recycled for the sake of novelty, and it's not as if the effect is anything that wonderful in the first place.

Has the 'technology' of it changed that much, or will I still be sitting there with cardboard spectacles on, having a great time?

It's popping up everywhere because from next year 3D TV's go on sale. Sky will be available in 3D and such. So 3D technology is going to be used much, much more generally. So I imagine the magazines are just playing around to see how they make it work for them?

Fools will forever be parted with their money whenever a marketing campaign comes along to sell them the next new (old) thing. I think they're missing a trick by not trying to persuade people that you now need special disposable contact lenses for it.

And to think that 3D is fully available around us for free, in the format known as 'real life'.

It's actually a gold foiling cover. It just doesn't show up in the scan.
So visually it's very shiny not dull at all.
But in saying that not a huge fan of the actual photo.
I'm just so tired of the same actresses OVER and OVER and OVER again.

I actually quite like Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz etc etc.
But I don't want to read the same interview and look at the same pictures every 3-4 months.
They become not even remotely interesting.

I like this cover! It's very festive and Christmasy. Though I do find Jennifer's pose a bit awkward.

That is the single worst, and most dreadful cover image that InStyle have used. Which says a lot since most of their covers are bad imo. Its just wrong, she looks bad, the angle is wrong, and the pose is stupid, plus the showing of the ring is to blatant "product" placement.

I think jennifer was still pregnant during that photoshoot thats why the majority of the pics are close ups or from the chest up. Its definitely not her best cover.

Pixxi Lott is on the cover of UK InStyle January. Which I have to say, I'm very surprised about.

God, she's so young and I'm already so sick of her, and she's done nothing to warrant that, it's this endless PR campaign she's doing, where she pops up everywhere, and if this continues, there'll be a point where there's no cachet left, and she's barely started on her career.

She's the kind of person they usually have a photoshoot on, but I find it odd they've given her the cover. The cover even states "Pixie Lott. Pop Sensation & Our Girl of The Moment".

I have to say though, she does photograph quite nicely.
