Interview December/January 2014.15 : Madonna by Mert & Marcus

I wish they styled Madonna just like her Evita era or Take a Bow era. She looks beyond classy but still sultry.

Why is Madonna doing this?! The pillow face is quite disturbing. All of it looks a bit weird, it's a mixture of photoshop and plastic surgery that is very off putting.

Loving McDean's ed. He and Templer can do no wrong and make every issue a lot more exciting to me.

Who on Earth wants to see J.W. naked? :ninja:

I didn't really enjoy anything from this issue.

Wow, love everything about this edit! Thanks so much for posting!

It took me some time to warm up to "Sailor" but I've come full circle now. There is a cetain simplicity, but the styling is interesting enough and saves it from being boring. The splashes of blue are also very eye-catching.

Both of the main eds are underwhelming. There are some interesting elements to the styling in Sailor that are clever, but as a whole, the story doesn't make me dream.

Everything feels too stiff and I usually love Julia's work.

The J.W. Anderson story is Greg Harris trying to be Karim Sadli, which is unfortunate, because he's better than that.

The only thing I took from this issue is that Bram Valbracht is one to watch, my god, he looks pretty enough to be a statue in that editorial.

are the "models" supposed to be Amber Valletta and Candice Swanepoel?

^yes but I was wondering if the 1st and 2nd pic were supposed to be Amber & Candice... cause they look eery familiar.

I like the photos of Madonna.

Yes we did seen many times and we all know her love for bondage !

But those photos are more sensual and passionate than those on Vogue ommo
or other photos of her with same concept.

I dont see any problem for a woman at her age showing her body especially if you have a damn good shaped body liker hers.

And those critisms with her age, I mean since when does age play a role in fashion ? fashion has no boundaries like art. We see 13 yo girls on the runway showing their nipples which is more inapprobirate than a 40 yo.

Age aint nothing but a number. If some woman blama Madonna for those pistures, is only a sign of jealousy since they do not have a body liker hers.
