I've got one of J's Alexa oaks from last year. I get a bit of denim transfer on mine, but because of whatever finish is on the leather on the one I got (it's *slightly* shiny), the transfer comes right off w/makeup remover. I absolutely love this bag. It's worn incredibly well, and every time I take it out and use it again I remember how awesome it is. B)

I asked T&D back in February if they could make the mini coin purse bags but they said they would have to charge a lot since so much detail goes into making one. Pus they'd have to source all that tiny hardware...so basically "no". The authentic goes for $499+ (can't believe anyone would pay that for a keychain) and I'd imagine T&D's would be still too pricey to justify. The most I'd pay for one is maybe $100, but that's pushing it. Those keychains are adorable but they can't fit anything inside except maybe a few mints and some change

I've been a bit out of the bag loop for a while due to finances being tied up elsewhere. But I have some spare cash right now and was all ready to treat myself to a new bag, but I had a look at catty's site and it looks like something very bad has happened...!

The prices aren't that much higher than jacky and it looks like they take paypal. So if you pay with a credit card and they don't ship, etc. you can at least make a claim with paypal/credit card company (if it comes to that).

I love jacky and would use him first. However, if he has discontinued something I want, it might be worth a try.

I'm thinking the same thing. They have several of the BV bags that Jacky has been sold out of for quite some time. I would be willing to try them out with one item - I mean the worst that could happen is I lose $150. That's the kind of risk we take buying replicas from some guy (or woman) on the other side of the world. I think I've used up my bag quota for the year (and maybe next) but I guess I could always tap into the contingency fund. I've already bought five bags just this year and have another on the way, which for me is quite the shopping spree.

Also, they describe the leather as "silky soft". Does that mean thin leather? I remember thinking my Galet from them was thin when I first got it. Now they are nice and chewy. Do thin leather thickens over time?

my nuage and ardoise bags are exactly that - silky soft, supple leather. i'd take that any day to dry thick leather. i'd say the nuage and ardoise is a bit thicker than my galet bags. my galet bags did not become thicker over time, but did become softer.
