Cherish - Don't worry. J has certainly fixed the locks. The last 3 I had were perfect in terms of the wobble factor. And the trees were sprouting the correct way too! Those flaws were with first batch bags. Am not sure which bag your Alexa was from kaygirl - sorry to hear about your lock shenanigans

I didn't want to send any of my Alexa family back to J as they weren't faulty per se- just not 100% accurate in the hardware details. It was minute compared to all the other details of the bag. J would not have accepted a return on those.

Anyhoo - I am sure your bag will be absolutely fine! I love my little Alexa, am sure you will love yours too!

I bought my Alexa sometime mid June 2010..so it was after he had corrected everything. It came all good..but after using it about 1 month every weekend, the turnlock came undone. He asked me to send it to the cobbler but I doubt the cobblers here can change it. Anyway, I sent it back to him and he's fixing it and sending it back to me. The other things about the bag was perfect..great leather, correct hardware details like dangermouse mentioned.
Cherish, I'm sure you're gonna adore your Alexa. It's my fav.

Haha - kaygirl. No not any more. I sold them onto friends, gave one to my mum etc.. So I have just the one for now.

I am sure I read a while back about someone fixing up their Alexa lock. The twiddley bit that turns can just be taken out and a new one pushed back in?? Maybe I dreamt it.
I actually have a spare postman lock upstairs that J sent me with the strap ends with the trees corrected. If I ever need to fiddle with my Alexas twiddley bit then i'll let you know if it's possible! Hope you get your new and improved Alexa back soon!

Cherish, you'll have to ask Jacky if the photos of the Plum Alexa on his site are of the rep or auth. Jacky is pretty honest about it and will tell you if it's a rep or auth.

Danger_mouse, was your Alexa already slouchy and soft when you got it from Jacky? My friends' and my Alexa bags have pretty stiff leather and they're from the latest batch.

i found few RGH bal reps on taobao!!!!! that means the rgh zipper/hw is available on the market, so hopefully t&d could source them soon.

I went to Barney's today and I must say that Anthracite looks lovely with Giant Rose Gold Hardware.

I am so into this combination. I adore the gray of anthracite and am contemplating getting a pt in this style but don't really need another black/dark gray bag.

Dangermouse: I have an extra postman lock just incase from Jacky. It can be taken out and replaced should it ever get wobbly according to Jacky. I have not tried this but I am sure it will work.

Jacky has advised that he is making Neely in red. That bag would look so lovely with a camel coat in winter.

Ladies who have gotten a PS1 recently: is the quality better now? I got one when the screws would pop out and the smell was terrible. I want another one since I let go of the first one I bought, but I don't want to pay money for something I feel uneasy about carrying anything in. I love the PS1 for its functionality. If not...I may hit up the Alexa. But I'd like to know first if the PS1 (any size) is good now.

Girls i just saw Jacky's Pumb Alexa and the pic is a rep, i compared with Auth and J's one has more shine, leather is bufalo but has more wrinkles and the H is more yellowish than Auth, I don't understand why cos in Oak color is not, maybe the lighting?. Still looks stuning do!

Hello my little ones! I'll be home from my trade show tomorrow night and will be better able to respond to you individually (for those with questions, etc) but as a general bit of commentary until then,

1. For newbies especially, but as a reminder to all, we need to keep the thread moving, which means if you LOVE someone's leather/color/mod shot, etc. and want to praise her, etc., please PM the member. Posts saying "Your leather is TDF" etc. will be deleted once I'm back home.

2. Some members are more sensitive than not. Please keep comments as positive and neutral as possible. The written word can often be misunderstood and interpreted incorrectly. There have been a few posts in the last few days that fit this bill. Please make sure your posts are as informative as possible for the benefit of us all. Comments questioning why someone would freak out over something are unnecessary. Everyone has her own tolerance level.

Which seller should I go with for the Prada deerskin tote?

First pic is Catty, second is Jacky. Seems like Jacky's is a deeper brown color. Was it ever made in the lighter color Catty has?

And is Jacky's real deerskin? Catty says hers is calfskin.

Any input would be appreciated.

T&D have advised that they are working on sourcing the rose gold hardware. I would wait and see if they are successful in finding it though it may take some time.
