Hello all,

I have decided to keep my mulberry alexa (from Jacky) for myself and when I used the bag last week, I spotted a flaw. Pictures are attached. There is a missing stitching on the handle. Although it is not obvious, I am quite disappointed. Should I ask for an exchange of the bag or a partial refund / credit? If credit, how much?

Please help, thank you in advance!

madmurderermud: I don't have this flaw on my Jacky Alexa. I checked my Authentic Alexa just to be sure. I don't know how Jacky would handle this. I would ask for an exchange to a perfect bag as this obviously bothers you.

I´ve ordered a Galet Day RH. Now I see everybody getting their bags, but what about the Day Bags? There isn´t even a Day on their Ioffer store, so they just havent been made yet? Did anybode else order a Day? I just hope they didnt forget me because I´ve already paid of course...

I'm still waiting on my Galet Day RH too! In fact, I was just about to ask if anyone was waiting for their Galet bag as well. I think they are working on a new batch, so perhaps they are still in production, but I'm getting so anxious. It's my first NBF, so I'm very excited, especially after seeing everyone's beautiful Galet bags on here!

Every time I asked when the bag would be shipped out, they skirted the question in the following email... but I hope it's not too long. I remember reading about people not receiving their NBF bags for ageeees!

i love this bag! post pics if you can. i have been going back and forth on it, but i'm getting a black lanvin and the black rocco with my next jacky order and obviously don't need three new black bags (or ANY new black bags for that matter). on jacky's site, this rep does look PERFECT.

Hi thesiren, here is Jacky's YSL Roady hobo in pebbled black leather. It is quite a large bag for me (5' tall lol). The bag slouched perfectly! I read on TPF that the texture may vary from batch to batch, so an auth roady may or may not have the deep pebbly texture.

as for t&d order - my galet gsh city has been finished for almost 2 weeks but they 're still waiting for sorbet velo so they can be shipped together ...seeing all other styles in sorbet on their ioffer is killing me ...why didn't they do velo first? hahaha

btw as for the auth vert d'eau (this season), has it actually been released? I haven't seen any reveal on the other forum. ....and I kinda give up on the hope that t&d will do Town but I really hope the guys will do giant first soon - they keep telling me there're not enuf girls on the list - -" ...sorbet or bleu roi in giant first would b ...divineeeee

i changed my order for a VD midday GGH to a VD work GGH since i realised that the midday was never made in VD GGH, and i'm still waiting for it!
the boys have told me that they're trying to send out all the remaining VD bags by this weekend or early next week though!

I didn't get tracking for mine yet, still. Did you e-mail them for tracking or did they e-mail you? In any case, you have to take pics once you receive it!

I just pulled the trigger on a regular Alexa from Jacky. I paid yesterday via paypal and he just e-mailed me the tracking number today. Amazing! I tried to ask him in the nicest way possible to "handpick" an alexa for me - I told him I would love if the leather was soft and smooth, not hard or shiny. I forgot to specify no folds or lines - oh well!

coco109: Thanks for posting the comparison. Jacky's Alexa straps look dead on! Sigh, I'm still so tempted by the Alexa, it really is such a gorgeous bag, but the Day won out in the end this time around. Plus Jacky just changed websites and now I don't have it, so I guess it's just not meant to be with Alexa... yet.

Cherish: Congrats on pulling the trigger! I'm sure it will be a fantastic purchase. I have been constantly torturing myself staring at photos of the Alexa. Which colour did you get?

Cherish, I hope you'll love your Alexa. Did you get Oak? Plum's so pretty! I wonder when Grape will be out. Just to let you know ... the Regular Oak Alexa (if that's what you bought) leather takes some time to soften. I've used mine about 5x and it's still kinda stiff, but I love it all the same.

Hi girls, just a caution to those who bought J's Alexa. My buckle broke a week ago! Well, the turnlock couldn't lock into place and so I've already sent it back to him. Although it's a hassle, however, J's been really good about it.

DernierCri, Xooey: I bought the oak - BEFORE he had uploaded the plum onto his site! It sure does look yummy... but I wonder if those photos are of the auth he has rather than a rep?

I think some batches vary a wee bit as some that I'm seeing on the ioffer pics thread look really soft and broken in already while others look like they need a little breaking in. In any case, they are all lovely. Perhaps some conditioned theirs? I sent J these attached photos as reference (Thanks, danger_mouse!)

kaygirl: That makes me nervous. But since he's being good about replacing it, I hope the next one he sends to you is perfect. I hope these recent problems with the Alexa have prompted him to better QC.

Hi Cherish, am happy my pics were a help!
Those pics were of my very first Alexa which I loved the most but it had some flaws with the hardware. I have since ordered another 3 Alexas and the 3rd one was the only one that was 100% correct, even though the leather was not my favourite.
I agree that Sexy Lexy looks pretty cool in those pics and I still get PMs about this bag now. But just check the hardware when your bag arrives. It should ALL be gold tone. Not brass. All the engravings should be clear/colourless (if that makes sense) not black/brassy.
Oh and this one had the upside down trees too which I managed to change myself when J sent me the correct strap ends.

If I may ask - how come you didn't just send your alexa in for a replacement instead of ordering others? (I suppose you can't have TOO many alexas... )) but yannowhatImean!

I haven't heard any wobbly post-man lock & upside down tree woes recently, so I'm crossing my fingers that he's got all the details down pat. Crossing my toes too.
