My main style consideration right now is a Neverfull. I LOVE the casualness and look of this style, but am hesitant because of two things. One is the open top. Not a big deal for me security wise, more from an aesthetic standpoint of others being able to see into my bag. Second is the thinner straps. Are they too flimsy or out of proportion for such a large bag? Do those of you that have one (I am thinking the largest size as I am close to 5'8) do you find the bottom sags without putting a support on the bottom? Is the largest size HUGE?

I am torn between one in Damier Ebene or a mono. I like Damier because of it's practicality...doesn't show wear unless it's abused. I have learned that in the Damier the brown leather can be too dark on reps. I like the mono because it's more casual, yet I hate that I have to be uber careful with the vachetta getting soiled. There is a lot of red sealant (is this the right term??) on the mono NF and it would be a deal breaker for me unless I could get that as well as the vachetta spot on (or almost) with the auth on a rep. I could get both I guess... :innocent:

If you got this far without your eyes glazing over and whacking your head on your monitor...bottom line: which has a better overall aesthetic look, a Damier NF or Mono NF? :p

I've the Damier Neverfull in PM and MM from Catty. I stand at 5ft 4", and the PM is the perfect size for me. My sister uses the MM size, which I feel is a great to-go bag (but I find it too big for me). I recommend that you get the Neverfull in MM.

I've been told that the shade of brown canvas for Damier varies even among the authentic, so don't worry too much about it.

With frequent use, I've realised that the bottom of my PM is sagging very slightly, but it's no biggie. I'll just cut a piece of cardboard and use it as a base.

PS: I chose to get Damier over Mono so that I wouldn't have to worry about the vachetta.

I am crazy about the Neverfull MM. I am 5'5 and the size is perfect for me. No sagging after LOTS of use and the patina is great! I never worried about anyone getting into my bag because when you carry it it doesn't stay open like a stiff structured bag-it kind of 'closes' itself when carried (unless you stuff it to the gills!^_^)

As for Jacky's calfhair....don't say I didn't warn 'ya!!

The large print looks just like the dark version of my calfhair muse (mine stays hidden in the closet, too) and believe me you don't want any part of it:yuk:

Too bad because the auth looks HOT

Does anyone know if LV ever made the zippy wallet or zippy coin purse in the vernis rose pop color? Jacky has both on his site and they look adorable.... but I don't want to buy a franken-wallet!!

Catty's damier dark brown leather trim is EXACT to the authentic. I know Joy's leather trim is dark dark dark brown. Catty's is definitely the exact same shade with the same amount of sheen. The trevi PM I received from her was great, the canvas felt exactly the same. I hope this is true for all her damier bags!

Handbagdiva
- I would go for a damier ebene NF MM if you are going to use it everyday so it doesn't look like a huge tote!

I think I'm going to get Catty's monogram stresa PM. I just compared it to tons of pics and it looks spot on to the auth. I compared J's and Joy's and they are totally off!

Images of the disgusting RGGH bag received. Anyone knows what material this is?

HBDiva, the damier neverfull in the largest size is a great bag - I own it and it's perfect for the months when it's rainy and disgusting. Nice a durable and it holds everything, I do reccommend getting a shaper for the bottom and using a purseket with the bag... just to aid in organization.

Good to know! I LOVE Pursekets! A little tip: I tried various styles of organizers and preferred the Purseket and the Joey Junior. I like the Purseket because it has the bottom, yet it bugged the crud out of me when it would fold over on itself. I placed a Joey Junior inside of the pursket and voila--success! The JJ makes the PK just rigid enough so that it can stay up, as well as allows for extra organization with the extra pockets of two organizers. I have also found it quite handy to slip mail, notes, etc., lengthwise between the space of the JJ and PK to use as a folder/pocket of sorts that spans the entire lenghth of the organizers. From the sounds of my post you would think that I was very organized when in actuality the opposite is true. The organizers just help me to clean out my crap more quickly. FYI: this combo does NOT fit well in a Bal City. Although I won't worry about having to go without since the lining is dark. ^_^

madbaggal: Did you use a cc on paypal? If so, you may be able to dispute it with your cc company. Worth a shot anyway. Any numbskull should be able to notice that the hardware color should match the zippers....oy.

xooey: :flower: !! I can attest to the difference in Damier print as I was able to compare two brand new Speedy's side by side. Although it was slight, there was a difference between the two. I must have looked like a crazy lady standing there, squinting my eyes, moving up close, backing up, covering one eye up and then the other...all trying to make sure that there was a difference and it wasn't my mind playing tricks on me.

Is there a higher % of consistency with the tone of the Damier ebene leather trim with one seller over the other? It seems like Catty or Jacky are the best bets...I would love to hear some more responses as to who others feel has the most accurate ebene trim.

Orchidian: Not sure about the Vernis Zippy...although I just want to say that the Zippy is my fav LV wallet style!

PinkPrincess113: That would be fabulous if all Catty's Damier pieces came from the same source to further ensure that the trim would be spot on. Although am I correct in thinking that she may buy different styles in the same brand from different suppliers?

That's a shame the J's and Joy's are totally off!! :o

Does anyone know why Catty has more than one site, or have a preference as to which one is better? Putting them in alphabetical order...1 vs. 2......?
This confuzzles me.

madbaggal Do you have pics of the seller original bag? the one you thought you were going to get? If you do, just open a dispute file on ioffer and on paypal. Your reason it's included on the possibles subjects to open a dispute.
For that you have a max of 45 days from the day you purchased the item.
It may take a while to get resolved but i will do it, you have nothing to loose. :flower:

Haha.. firstly it's madbalgal! not madbaggal =P

HandbagDiva: Oy, yes indeed.. I was appalled when I saw the zipper! I guess T&D was right not to do RGGH initially when they said they had problems sourcing for the zipper. Better not to do then come up with a horrible version like this.

I already called the bank. As I paid via a debit card the amount was already deducted, so no go there.

Naiala:Yes, I still have all the pictures. This horror was supposed to be an Anthra RGGH 10, LOL. I have already filed disputes with Paypal and iOffer and their negative responses is why I want to publicize this to ensure that others who read this take more caution with their iOffer purchases.

Firstly, Paypal says that they can only handle cases of items traded on eBay. They have no say in disputes regarding items bought off any other site, including iOffer. The only exception to this is unless you filed a "Item Not Received" dispute. If you bought a Chanel bag and the seller sent you a rock with a tracking number, Paypal's not gonna step in to help, because the seller already sent you something.

Next, iOffer's policy basically shirks all responsibility of disputes between the buyer and seller. If you read through its terms, it says that in event of seeking a refund, one should go back to one's CC company/Paypal/moneybookers to seek recourse. What they did was to ban the seller's account, which is ridiculous because the problem is not solved and kicking the seller out means the seller can't reply me through iOffer messages anymore.

In my case luckily the seller is still responding, albeit asking me not to pursue the refund. I am currently threatening him with a police report. So please.. be careful who you decide to trust your money with.

there are some differences in the rep damier NF and the auth. someone posted (very detailed) pictures awhile back, so you may check the previous thread. i also like the look of the damier NF better. the monos are EVERYWHERE and just don't read as very stylish to me. :innocent:

i love the MM of the NF. it's big enough to have that luxe casual vibe, but doesn't get in your way or look ridiculously big. the GM of the NF is VERY large. too big imho.

chelsea - is your NF from jacky?

madbag- i am so sorry! i really lucked out with my seller years ago. i think i scared him and he ended up refunding my money the DAY i sent the bag back (he didn't even have a tracking number or proof that i sent it!). good luck getting it sorted. i don't know threatening a police report will work since you buying the bag is also illegal. i don't want to discourage you, but you may have to chalk it up to a lesson learned.

NEVER pay via paypal with anything other than a CC if you aren't sure of the seller. paypal is a PITA to deal with and your best bet is going straight through your CC company (they deal with this all of the time).

how were the sellers reviews? was this the same bag as shown in the listing?

madbalgal, sorry you got a frankenbag that was wrongly represented. If I may ask, how much did you pay for it? I hope you'll be able to get a proper refund for the bag.

Handbagdiva, I posted comparison pics and a review of Catty's Damier NF PM vs the auth. It should be in the previous thread but if for some reason, you can't find it, PM me. I still have the word document in my computer and I can send it via email.

Madbalgal, I'm so mad for you! Not sure if this is against the rules, but could you please give us the name of the seller so nobody else gets burnt by them? Thanks...

To the n00bs. May I share how I got Jacky's information. It was not from this forum. I realize this wasn't going to happen right off the bat but I wanted J's info NOW NOWNOW!

Google Jacky. Google things like, "Jacky Catty" or "Jacky website". The idea is that it's just not easy. Also, when I googled him, I found that he is discussed on repchat, where people post his information on the threads publicly BUT! it's a puzzle! Yes, you have to look for clues. But it's a little fun, I must admit.

Put yourselves in the 1337 poster's shoes (bags?). They want to enjoy the thread, probably have made some forum friends that they want to catch up on, and they login only to have lots of people just asking for information. Also...the other forum hates reps and will do a lot to get them off the face of the earth. Double agents could easily be posing as n00bs to get Jacky's information to take his website down, and his site does go down.

While I would love to give y'all information, I do see the importance in protecting Jacky's information.

I encourage you to just put in some creative effort, or follow my other option above.

Just wanted to say that I'm also a member of repchat and Jacky's details are not publicly listed same as here. Not sure why you thought so Boniquo...repchat is probably more cagey than tfs when it comes to disclosing sellers. :D

thesiren:TBH the police threat is just a bluff, I can file a report as counterfeit received because the listing stated "Authentic", but the police do not have jurisdiction outside of my country. Also, the amount paid, while painful to me, is not significant enough for them to start an investigation. Noted on the CC for Paypal, will definitely do that for future purchases.

xooey:I paid USD 250 for it. The seller has been replying my emails by "thanking" me for taking care of his family (with MY money) and "forgiving" him with my "good heart". Seriously, it'll have been hilarious reading his mails if the amount wasn't so dear to me.

MissLondon: The seller's name on ioffer is chenjiaju3. I didn't give the name because firstly, that account is already banned and.. with ioffer's slack policies he can easily set up another account with all his listings in a matter of days. All he needs is a different email acc.

ugh, that makes me so angry. what a liar! play stupid. tell him you were expecting an authentic bag as that's what's stated in his listing and he has no business selling a handbag if he doesn't even know wth it is. you were expecting one thing and got another and you deserve your money back. it isn't your problem he's a bad businessman. tell him you have reported him to paypal and are ready to escalate the claim if he doesn't refund your money by x date.

i am so upset for you and i really wish you would have consulted this forum before buying the bag.

I'm so glad we're having this neverfull conversation! I had a Damier NF GM from Catty, and it was great, spot on colorwise. Maybe it was the sheer size of it, but the canvas felt thin and awkward. Pics of the MM make the canvas look so much stiffer. I prefer more stucture. I also have Catty's trevi PM, and again, spot on color. This canvas feels much stiffer, but it's probably that the bag is small. J's MM looks great in his pics, so I'm going to buy that now. It's just a great bag. I've seen the mono around and I love it but it's just too much mono for me. (I also used to be "that girl" that hated LV, so I'm not quite ready for mono, but I love damier now, haha!). Damier was what changed my mind about LV.

If anyone has questions about j's vachetta, I have his pochette accessories and it's starting to patina after a few wears :). the canvas is just as thick an correctly pebbled as my auth speedy.

MissLondon: It's seriously, an old-fashioned puzzle on repchat and you have to find the clues. Puzzles are difficult but it was cute that people took the time to put his info out there like that. It took me a few hours to find all the clues, and about a half hour to figure it out. Navigating to the url was so rewarding, LOL. Maybe it would be easier to just contribute to the thread a bit more for you.

madbaggal: give them HELL with your CC. I have many ioffer stories...(maybe I'll tell them one day), but I protected myself by using a CC since I know PayPal doesn't do 5h17. It took me a few months for one or two bags, and effortful followup calls to my CC, but it got straightened out. May I suggest using AmEx if you can get that in your country (I have no idea but here in the US they are great on service).

Catty's LV rep for a long weekend

I'm usually a balenciaga girl but I find the weekender lacks structure and doesn't do the job for a short business trip. Where do you put a train case?

Since Catty's LVs are a recent topic, does anyone have a favorite larger LV rep that they use as a carry on but that's still big enough to hold everything you need for a few day business trip? Or maybe another bag that works well for this?

I love the Mulberry Piccadilly style. I use it to fly; it's carry-on sized but very roomy, and made out of very sturdy leather. It isn't particularly structured, though.
