My main style consideration right now is a Neverfull. I LOVE the casualness and look of this style, but am hesitant because of two things. One is the open top. Not a big deal for me security wise, more from an aesthetic standpoint of others being able to see into my bag.Second is the thinner straps. Are they too flimsy or out of proportion for such a large bag? Do those of you that have one (I am thinking the largest size as I am close to 5'8) do you find the bottom sags without putting a support on the bottom? Is the largest size HUGE?
I am torn between one in Damier Ebene or a mono. I like Damier because of it's practicality...doesn't show wear unless it's abused. I have learned that in the Damier the brown leather can be too dark on reps. I like the mono because it's more casual, yet I hate that I have to be uber careful with the vachetta getting soiled. There is a lot of red sealant (is this the right term??) on the mono NF and it would be a deal breaker for me unless I could get that as well as the vachetta spot on (or almost) with the auth on a rep. I could get both I guess...![]()
If you got this far without your eyes glazing over and whacking your head on your monitor...bottom line: which has a better overall aesthetic look, a Damier NF or Mono NF?![]()
I've the Damier Neverfull in PM and MM from Catty. I stand at 5ft 4", and the PM is the perfect size for me. My sister uses the MM size, which I feel is a great to-go bag (but I find it too big for me). I recommend that you get the Neverfull in MM.
I've been told that the shade of brown canvas for Damier varies even among the authentic, so don't worry too much about it.
With frequent use, I've realised that the bottom of my PM is sagging very slightly, but it's no biggie. I'll just cut a piece of cardboard and use it as a base.
PS: I chose to get Damier over Mono so that I wouldn't have to worry about the vachetta.

!! I can attest to the difference in Damier print as I was able to compare two brand new Speedy's side by side. Although it was slight, there was a difference between the two. I must have looked like a crazy lady standing there, squinting my eyes, moving up close, backing up, covering one eye up and then the other...all trying to make sure that there was a difference and it wasn't my mind playing tricks on me.

. the canvas is just as thick an correctly pebbled as my auth speedy.
